It's happening with my DS4 also, not as bad as the picture in the article but my left stick went through a short period of 'graining' where I first noticed the wear because it deposited tiny grains of rubber onto the touchpad. After that period the wear started to smooth out more and settled down a bit. Different people use the ministick in different ways, my 'style' is to have the pad of my thumb pushing on the top so it's the centre top part of the ministick that'...
Anyone in Cherno?
Warhawk remake with an option to play first person please
Incomplete article, I've read it and there is still no common sense, it's lacking in thought and the writer has over done the desperation for hits. Not enough variety of fanboism is a big disappointment in this article.
Good to hear some blunt common sense answers. Nobody wants to take personal responsibility, it's all about pushing the blame onto something else - gaming, drink, cigarettes etc. As Jim Ryan rightly said its all about taking responsibility for your own kids, set them times to play and spend some time with them rather than just use the TV and games console as a babysitter. I'm sick of hearing people moan about violent video games like Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto and then I walk in...
The franchise needs a reboot. They need to look at where they came from (article is wrong btw, COD launched on PC) and take the best of where they started and blend it with what's they have now. There is too much focus on gimmicks, it's ruining the gameplay by channeling players into a kill streak mindset rather than team play. I'd like to see a new game engine optimised for the PC and new generation of consoles.
Proper dedicated server support for PC (and perhaps co...
The thing is with Sony is that they still support their past consoles where as Microsoft just seem to cut support much sooner, that's what to felt moving from XBOX to 360 and yet when I finally got a PS3 Sony were still actively promoting the PS2.
Are people that gullible? It's all designed to keep their brand in the news feeds while looking good to people who swallow this kind of PR BS
I didn't buy a Vita, my iPhone replaced my PSP for casual mobile gaming but getting a PS4 could change that. I could see the potential of remote play but the technology wasn't quite there with the PSP/PS3. I don't want to just spot for my friends or perform some menial side task - I want to be there in the thick of it playing my PS4 game remotely. Further on down the line as this feature expands then why can't I play that game of FIFA I had scheduled just because I'm stuck...
Agreed on the memory requirements though I wouldn't call the textures ugly. I could understand it if it was a brand new engine but it's just more of the same with some added bits bolted onto the old engine. It runs horribly only 8GB system though admittedly my 6870 1GB card is probably the bottleneck but it runs Battlefield 4 better than it does Ghosts
Very polished for a beta, I'm looking forward to watching this mature as new content is added because it has the potential to be the best racing sim on the PC - I just hope they don't mess up the multiplayer code
A very polished beta release, showing potential to be the best racing sim on the PC
1080p should have been the standard they wanted to achieve at launch no matter what. Yes these are launch titles where the developers are still finding their way around these systems but they are not going to suddenly find a big magic box of performance. Any little tricks they find to squeeze more performance out of the consoles will be equalised by their game engines demanding more. It's not like there's a magic switch buried deep in the bowels of the console that will suddenly unlea...
What resolution did he use?
I do my best to show self control, telling myself I still have X, Y and Z to play through. Most of the time it works but I still have games I've not even loaded once in my collection that are awaiting play time. It's nice to be able to spread a big of gaming love too with 4 packs and cheap deals to gift to people. My nephew has just got into PC gaming after years on a console so these sales will be massive for him.
Brace wallets for impact!
I seem to recall a review of MSI's 780 Lightning card that had better benchmarks than the Titan. For what you got performance wise over other cards the Titan was only worth it for bragging rights.
I couldn't bear to play Battlefield 3 on my 360 or PS3 after playing it on my PC. Larger battles with far better visuals. By the middle of the last generation my consoles were kept for exclusives only as any cross platform game from Black Ops onward just looked por by comparison. It seems with BF4 being pegged at 720p on console will mean my PS4 pre-order will be just for exclusives right from the start.
They are just short of the half-way mark after a few days, funding seems to have slowed a little but hopefully it will continue to come in, co-incidentally DCS World modules are on sale with up to 70% off so now is a good time to sample the depth planes in the DCS series are modelled.
I bought my PS4 for entertainment not to save the planet, I'm not into play with twigs and leaves and recycling my sandals. I try to save energy where I can but I don't buy into the global warming scare mongering.
