I've not bought an XBOX One yet but giving it a lot of consideration lately to ad to my PC and PS4, a remodelled XBOX One would definitely swing it, I'm not so bothered about the size or shape as it sits under my TV out of the way (although a smaller footprint is nice) but some items on my wish list would be:

* Put power supply inside the case and do away with the brick
* A slot/hatch to easily open and replace internal HDD
* Backwards compatibility (u...

Funny advert, I liked the comparisons between old and new gaming especially as I was one of those people sat wide eyed in front of an Atari playing Pong and Space Invaders

It would be a big incentive to buy an XBOX if buying from the Microsoft store meant you got copies of the game on XBOX One and PC. Over the years I've spent a fortune buying games like CoD and Battlefield on as many as three formats to play with friends across each platform but I just can't see EA or Activision giving away free copies of CoD/Battlefield if you buy on one system or the other.

The only way it might happen is if you buy the more expensive XBOX version s...

I don't know why it's so surprising when the current generation of consoles are around 18 months old.

Having played the game for a few years on the PC I am also impressed by the way its developed from something that felt quite arcade like and more like NFS Shift to gradually improving the physics and handling. Unless anything changes from the PC version to the XBOX and PlayStation then I think Forza and Gran Turismo have a real fight on their hands and I say that as a fan of both series. Graphically its one of the best racing games out there.

The detail is good on Assetto Corsa, Project Cars and Forza 5 but AFAIK Assetto Corsa is the only version out of the 4 that has been laser scanned so will be the only one that is really accurate.

I don't know why Microsoft didn't think about making a slot like Sony did with the PS3 and PS4 so that users could do it themselves. Its such a big case and the HDD has got to be one of the easiest things to relocate when it comes to juggling around the internal hardware.

I'm considering buying an XBOX One and may buy it with this bundle. I'm a bit torn about getting the game digitally as I have every Halo, Gears and Forza game on disc in a drawer and kind of like the idea of adding Halo MCC to that collection and then later Halo 5. On the other hand on my PS4 I traded in the few games I had on disc and bought everything digitally for the convenience of not having to swap disc's. My only problem is the lack of upgradability of the HDD in the XBOX O...

For me its the season passes which are killing things, or at least its making me think twice about buying a game because I weigh up what other games and season passes I already own. I passed on Far Cry 4 and may pick it up in a year from now when its on sale on Steam. You buy a game once and then the season pass is as much again to buy and while you don't *need* the season pass the publishers heavily promote it and the community gravitates towards them so to play online you are kind of pu...

Last generation I had a gaming PC, 360 and PS3, despite using the 360 a lot I decided this generation to stick with the gaming PC and just the PS4. I'm really happy with those formats but with the change in management and the chage in direction with the XBOX One being more focussed on games I'm now considering buying one. Don Mattrick nearly sank the XBOX brand when they were in a dominant position and now Phil Spencer is righting the ship and they are coming back strongly. With the t...

From EA's point of view maybe they decided that money from an exclusivity deal would not cover the difference in sales going multi-platform, you can't argue against the sales figures for the PS4 vs the XBOX One. I imagine everyone though the XBOX brand would be a juggernaut this generation like it was last generation so maybe they regret tying themselves into an exclusivity contract, I imagine the developer would have preferred to go multiplatform and have their game on every system a...

If you can afford to do it I'd recommend buy as many of the formats as possible. Last gen I had my gaming PC, 360 and PS3, this time around I went with the PC and PS4 and I am considering an XBOX One at some point for Forza, Gears and Halo.

This gen I'm enjoying the exclusive titles on the PS4 but I'm a little surprised and a bit disappointed to see how much the consoles have fallen behind in terms of graphics quality already for multi-platform games like Battlef...

It would be difficult for him to be hit by a train as they don't often run to time, constantly break down and are run by a militant mob of union gangsters aided and abetted by the last Labour government that got us into this mess in the first place

Yes they banned a large number of users who had been in the early access stage providing feedback right from the start because they complained too much. They did also suggest the project could be closed down if their Metacritic score did not improve. The scores got wiped and restarted and the score went even lower ( http://www.metacritic.com/g...

Driveclub is a fun game in its own right but pCars physics are a step above it. They are in two slightly different sub genres, Driveclub is more geared towards Forza Horizon or Project Gotham racing where as pCars is geared more towards Forza or Gran Tourismo

I have been playing Black Ops 1 over the weekend with my nephew as it was a game we used to play a lot with bots so we loaded it up for old times sake on our PC's and it just re-affirmed my opinion that Black Ops was the last decent Call of Duty game. The movement speed felt right, not the super speed of recent games that make it feel like it's designed for the attention deficient mouth breathers out there who need to make a kil every 0.2 of a second. The weapons had nice variety and ...

It's hard to take reviews from commercial gaming sites at pace value. Sites like Gamespot, IGN etc all rely heavily on adverts and therefore web traffic so they would sell their own mothers for exclusive deals with publishers and promote their products. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if the poor reviews for Destiny are because Activision held back review copies and therefore reduced these sites abilities to generate traffic to their sites. It's really not a bad game, I d...

Ill informed flame-bait article. The author has taken a few people's comments and passed them off as somehow representing the millions of PC gamers worldwide. It would be like saying some of the worst XBOX or Playstation fan boys that infest N4G are somehow representative of those platforms as a whole.

He has only been playing Standalone so does not understand the history behind the game. The 'oh but its alpha' really doesn't wash with this title as its based ...
