Aw yes the obligatory “I don’t care but I care enough to open the article and go to the comments thread and take the time to tell everyone I don’t care in hopes maybe someone will care that I don’t care” comment. Good job bud. Good job.

I’m amazed that there are still so many people that don’t know the difference between a remake and a remaster. This is clearly a remake and should not have to be explained. Links awakening DX on gameboy color would be a remaster of the original gameboy game.

Don’t know why it says “stunned virtually everyone.” Rumors of a Links awakening remake have been swirling around for well over a year now. Even some of those supposed “leaks” that were wrong still had this game as something that was going to be shown at the direct. I was a little more excited about the rumor that they were simultaneously remaking Zelda 2 along with this. I would love to see what Zelda 2 looks like in the modern era. It could be a very unique but also darker Zelda game with t...

I think with Links awakening being one of the more quirkier titles in the franchise that went for quirky looking graphics. That or they or maybe they are trying to tie the Zelda franchise closer with the MARIO franchise. That screen shot with the goombas totally looks like a Mario game if you just switch out Link for Mario.

So I’m not tech savvy in the sense of knowing the difference and power in all the chip sets and whatnot. Do you think the PS5 has the potential to make a significant leap in the advancement of video games? Any examples you can give that the ps5 might be capable of that we haven’t seen yet? I’m always wondering if we will ever see those big breakthroughs in the way we did in the examples you gave above.

As much as I want to believe that I remember everyone thinking Capcom would for sure remake RE2 after the positive reception of the the RE1 remake back in 2002. It ended up taking 17 years and 3 console generations to get it. I really hope that’s not the case for 3.

10 stores in one area seems like a bit of an exaggeration. There was a time when the majority of gamers could be considered social outcasts and games were their escape and that’s not a bad thing. As someone else said it’s an entry level retail job. You can just buy your game and leave. Personally I love my local GameStop. The employees are really cool and friendly and I can talk games with them and it’s an overall fine experience as far as going to buy something can be. I’m on the west coast ...

Give it up dude! RE7 is a great game and in VR also one of the most terrifying/fun experiences I’ve ever had with a game. Also I’m sorry you have nothing better to do than continuously troll your clearly unpopular opinion about the game in every single article. Must be a lonely life. Maybe instead of trolling you can go play one of the resident evil games you do like.

2065d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

No not at all. Different characters with different motivations. That being said I highly recommend downloading the original resident evil remake either before or after you play 2. It might be a remaster if a 17 year old game but it still holds up very well. If you play 2 and like the style of puzzle solving and ammo management your like the original. I’d also say 1 and 2 and 0 are the only ones you can play out of order. 0 is completely skippable as well. Not that it’s bad it just doesn’t add...

Oh good more click bait garbage barely trying to hide behind the title of journalism. If Metroid games aren’t that great than why has its core formula been used in countless games for a couple decades now? Metroidvania is pretty much a genre at this point but could just be called a Metroid style game since they were doing it first until symphony of the night put its own spin on it as well.

When rumor was that RE2 remake was going to be one continuous campaign I thought they might make RE3 remake as a meaty DLC for RE2 since I believe it’s the shortest of the RE games having only 1 playable character and the story running concurrently with RE2 but now I’m thinking that won’t be the case since they stayed pretty darn true to the original game. I just hope the wait for a RE3 remake isn’t as long as it was between the remake of 1 and 2.

I’m in the same boat. Played every mainline entry except 3. I think for me it was a matter of both timing and lack of hype and advertising. It was like 3 just came out with little hype and advertising. I remember seeing so much early hype for RE2 but 3 was out before it hit my radar. Plus I think I was already getting prepped for the release of the PS2.

I was just thinking that as disappointed as I am that prime 4 is getting a major delay I think I’m more disappointed that this most likely means a Metroid prime trilogy has been pushed further out. A couple months ago all rumors were pointing to a February release for the trilogy but now will probably be pushed as much as a year or more since for some reason publishers like to release these kinds of collections way to close to the release of the new game coming out in the series. I know they ...

Mario Odyssey reveal and being released 4 months later is why Nintendo fans said Nintendo won E3 2017. Confirmation of a Metroid Prime 4 being in development was more of an icing on the cake thing. Nobody with any sense expected it to release any earlier than late 2019 and most knew that would probably be unlikely. 2017 was a great year for Nintendo. I say this as a PS4 primary gamer.

1. RE 1
2. RE 2
3. RE 4
4. RE 7
5. RE 5
6. RE 6
7. RE 0

Never played 3 so I can’t rank it. The only one I missed even though I’ve played the others multiple times.

Another issue I see being a problem for the Final Fantasy 7 remake is that the fans themselves seem to be divided. Seems half the fans want it to stay turn based and the other wants it to evolve into a full fledge action RPG like FF15.

Don’t lie you liar...there’s no way you are LMFAOing! And if you are your a weird dude or a 12 year old girl. Sorry IGN didn’t consult you before giving it half a point lower than you wanted.

Actually the reviewer Daemon is a major gore and slasher hound. He loves that stuff.

So you’ve played it yourself? If not then your part of a larger problem. The amount of people that bitch about game scores that aren’t even out and they have never played is mind blowing.
