I'm stunned that MW3 actually won best shooter, and then Portal 2 won best multiplayer. Here's how it should have played out: CoD should have won best multiplayer--it has the largest density of gamers who enjoy it, and a lot of it's aesthetics are appreciated, yet reapplied yearly with a nice change of pace with how things progress. Yeah, but read the description of Resistance 3--it doesn't sound like the game at all--there were tons of games that sold worse that had hype--the problem people have with the review is that the general consensus considers Resistance 3 to be a solid first person shooter, as well as an around good experience--it just didn't sell well. If you've ever played Fallout: New Vegas on the PS3, you know it wasn't ported correctly. To anything. The PC version of Fallout 3 was far superior somehow to Fallout: New Vegas, the theme was better and grasped better derived this gritty, gory theme of the Fallout universe. New Vegas didn't feel like a pure Bethseda game--because it really wasn't. It was Obsidian.

Wow, in the tiny little UK, the PS3 sales were better. Go figure--the PS3 is more prominent in most European countries. Lets not forget PS3 has PlayTV which the UK is fond of, and the 360 didn't have anything to compare for a long time.
