In fact, I don't know that Star Wars will make any more of a dent on WoW then DCUO did. My point was that WoW is outdated and boring--it scares me that people still work 6-8 hours a day on their characters and pay for WoW, since at BEST, in 2011, WoW is like a very weak strategy game at it's core: whoever has the highest number will most likely win. The game is built around cooldowns and time-wasting. It drives me absolutely nuts how terrible this game is. I know firsthand, I played t...
But they don't want to talk about it. They've been having huge issues with China which had dropped them a substantial amount of subscribers in June. The number has yet to be revealed but it is apparently larger than 600k. Sites rumor it's around 5-6 million, but that sounds like a little much.
I think WoW is dying because the game loses it's fun after a good week or two, and the fun you had enjoyed turns into what seems like a chore. After a month, you'll average a...
We already know BF3 will be outsold by MW3. Without a doubt. They may come close as BF3 begins to catch on, but the zero-to-hero strategy of CoD, the ease of access, and it's utilization as a stepping stone like a gateway drug to other FPS games--I can't see CoD being overtaken for another 2 or 3 tries by the Battlefield series. Though, I definitely see BF, if it continues at this pace, overtaking CoD very, VERY soon. Just maybe not BF3.
I understand, yes, but it's been more than a year since the PS3 was released. In fact, we're going on 5 years for the PS3, and 6 for the 360. When did we start the last console gen? Oh yeah, in 6 years.
Not that I'm insinuating we need a new console every year. No, far from it. In fact, I suggest we follow the Apple policy in a slower manner. We make PS3.5's, since everyone's got to bitch about how they're totally okay with the fact that they're running on ...
I've loved Uncharted 1 & 2 more than almost any other action adventure game in existence. It's almost been to such a point as to define me coming here to voice my opinion. But knowing that I only really care for the single player--since I can't get my friends into the multiplayer, it makes me want to wait to experience this game. Why?
Is there too much hype surrounding this game? Am I afraid I'll be disappointed?
The PC version, which will also include the option for an excellent digital download.
Of course, I'll play console first since I know I will cheat the hell out of the PC version. The choice then comes down to PS3 or 360, which isn't really a choice, since it will unfortunately run better on the 360. I HATE to say that, since it only runs better because it runs on compression tech.
Compression always has run better on the 360, and it's because it's designed for ...
...If my dreams included dressing up like characters from Batman in a video game that copies Team Fortress 2 and Brink at the same time.
I've got mixed feelings about this game. I don't really want to pretend to be those guys who dress up like Batman in hockey suits in the Dark Knight. It just looks silly. Maybe that's what it's supposed to be. But I still can't tell if this game will be potentially good or absolutely terrible...
for this comment's "F1RST!!1", but an educated, well written response is dually noted. Well done sir. It's too bad not everyone utilizes the skill to type a logical, rounded response.
The fact that you have zero disagrees is pretty reassuring. No fanboyish behavior trolling your comment. I mean, who could deny that more games--no matter what platform they stand on--is a bad thing?
But better than GT5 and Forza? That's a little much.
In my opinion, I feel as if NFS is just trying to clone every other racing game today, instead of doing what it did best and what made me and so many others enjoy the series. I don't want any more futuristic street racing bullshit. I don't want another lap driven track racer. I want a game that follows the simplicity of the title: "Need for SPEED." I want something fast, dangerous, and a game I want to play. I ...
Ninja Theory set their standards with 60FPS on their games. It's what grabbed the appeal. It's almost imperative when the action you're used to is so smooth and fast.
Slightly Mad Studios gets crap because racing games don't tend to require a lot of power on the processing end. When you add in destruction, open world environments and realistic effects, we can understand. But in a racing game, based on going around a track a couple of times, the graphics are ex...
...people will have no qualms with it. It's games with lots of framerate drops at 30FPS people have issues with--games like Crysis 2. And that's the problem many people fear with Battlefield 3--not that it won't be a quality game, just that it might operate at the 'visceral' 30FPS like Crysis 2 (which is really 15-25FPS, and that's just visually unappealing). It's completely natural to experience doubt in a product, especially in this economy where games have becom...
It's upsetting to see how many people feel consoles are capable of so much more. In one single DVD, compressing data to that amount--you can't, because no space protocols are used to keep the framerate up. The way that CoD is currently made, it isn't capable of running any more because it jeopardizes framerate. Vehicles? Framerate drops. Realistic effects? Framerate drop. More people on screen? Framerate drop. RaGE is capable of 60FPS on consoles because it utilizes space over com...
They're pissed off at Microsoft for not opening up their platform to Steam. It's not that they're shunning the 360, it's just that Microsoft doesn't want anything to do with third party networks like Steam connecting on the 360 (even though they did let it slide with Shadowrun and Final Fantasy XI). I think the real problem is though, that they just don't want them competing with PS3 players, who have free online.
I know to some it may seem like Sony h...
Do I need a single reference?
There is no set factual natural "immersion" framerate. Yet. There is a Hz though. Since televisions and most monitors are limited to 60Hz, 60FPS is the highest count of frames that the screen can render. 60Hz is that point for the untrained eye. However 60fps is more frames than the viewer can process and perceive in one single second, and a point which is beyond perception is a point you see without error, flicker or frames--which is where I sa...
BATTLEFIELD 3 IS BETTER RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE COD IS BETTER RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE
Shut up, dammit.
If their target audience was more than 0.5% of the population, I'm sure this product would be successful.
With these prices PC gaming is certain to be dead lol
Because then I have actually met a challenge.
Then I must destroy... DESTROY!
Oh wait...
