This summer neither console has sold well. This article is trying to flip a shit on all the fanboys.
I wouldn't care if the 360 had a better CPU, Blu-Ray and free online.
It's just my opinion, but the first console released tends to be the winner, and if Microsoft doesn't beat Sony to the punch, then Microsoft will actually have to release something decent with an edge.
I mean, come on, what are the chances of them pulling a Vista again?
I don't understand the disagrees, because it's clearly a win-win scenario. People just always ...
If Microsoft's console ends up coming out first I will be soooo pissed.
I hope to GOD that you're right.
I know it was initially made with 3D Realms and Triptych Games, then finished by Piranha games and overseen by Gearbox.
But Gearbox put their name on the box and took the damn bullet.
It may sound like an irrational fear, but after DNF, I have a legitimacy to it. Hopefully some gameplay footage will remedy this terrible fear, since I still can't wait for Borderlands 2, loading screens or not.

I feel like I'm buying $60 worth of DLC every year when I buy a CoD game--not to mention $45 of actual DLC. I know it's wrong, but if they updated the graphics, you'd come to realize that the game wouldn't play at 60FPS. I'm glad CoD has been playing inchies with it's graphics--that way I don't have framedrops and console freezes, and I can just play the damn game. I mean, I love BFBC2 for all it brings, but I like CoD for all the stuff it doesn't. I can tell y...
They better not make the same mistake they made with Duke Nukem. I just can't believe the same people who brought me one of my favorite, most time consuming games also brought the worst video game known to man. Hopefully Gearbox is two different entities.
PS3 subs bloom for hardware AA.
Bloom helps filter color to be more vibrant, while the PS3 uses AA and not a hardware bloom. The games would probably look the same if they took off the 360's super contrast, LoT just uses it to mix the pot a little, and none of my friends use it since it makes games quote: "too dark."
Both look incomparable, since they're both reduced to half of actual size. This makes the jaggies very non-existent, and emphasizes color over actual form and gameplay--though, most of these screenshots could be fixed by adjusting the contrast.
--lol, and yes, Alice Madness Returns looks like shit at 360p and 720p
PC games regularly start around $50. Thankfully, they take into account that you probably spend twice as much (more likely more) on a gaming PC then you do on one console.
Steam does these kind of deals all the time though, I wouldn't be surprised. They drastically reduce the price of games so people can buy them.
Because the senior executive at Infinity Ward is definitely named "John Smith."
Someone's trolling disagrees.
I've always wanted an HD remake to be a remake through a different angle. Stick to what made the first game great, but bring it into the modern. They do this with the cinema, why not in video games?
Nostalgia is great for gaming. I remember growing up with Super Mario NES and Sonic 1-3d on the Genesis, Goldeneye 64, and beating the Pokemon league on Red, Blue and Yellow. Good times.
However, I also remember watching Batman. Look where that is now with the Dark Kni...
wtf is that all about guys? Come on, he's not trying to make a fanboyish statement or anything. BF3 is still going to play like BF3 on both consoles, whether the shaders render better on PS3 or 360 won't really impact it. Then again...
Shaders in BF have been a big part of the MP, so it might help 360 players if the shaders don't look as good, since they might not show, and cover in some areas may not work the same.
60FPS also affects how games control. It's a huge part of FPS tradition. The faster the game, the more responsive it tends to be. When a game is coded at 30FPS it's because they've barely managed to fit all that quality and aesthetic beauty onto consoles for our enjoyment. While this is a good aspect, and I know it will be for BF3 since it's made by DICE--but games like Crysis 2 don't tend to run well because the hardware simply isn't there, or it wasn't coded down...
I play both BCBF2 and CoDBO avidly. I love them both to death for their strengths and weaknesses as EQUALS. So beware, my basis for the MW3 and BF3 fan-war is -- wait for it -- unbiased. Shocking, huh?
@-Alpha: BF3 will have co-op campaign, as well as a large variety of modes including regular Team Deathmatch (not SQTDM) to appease the CoD lovers, larger more realistic "battlefields", not to mention vehicular combat or destruction.
It will be fucking awesome, there i...
Only one question: will it cost $50 a year?
Plenty of action RPGs. I've played enough action RPGs to see what he's copy-pasted. Still quite an original game.
He has a point. But it sounds hypocritical since there are many games within the same genre that provide a similar/better experience then his own.
Oh yeah baby, smooth out those pixels...
Good. That's your response?! Fuckin' HALLELUJAH! This is the best news I've heard out of Skyrim since that 40 minute leak!
Poor kid.
I'm sure he's traumatized. I mean, he KILLED his baby sister. And I know the story plays it like he's a murderer, but he probably did it on accident.
The baby fell on the floor. He probably didn't know, and shook her to quiet her down--thinking 'hey, what's the fastest way to get a baby to stop crying? I know, shake her'. And since she stopped crying and fell asleep, he thought he quieted her down.
Lets not forget that sha...
