I wouldn't say it's wise to make the 7th game in the series your entry point. This being the final game in Kiryu's story, all the weight is lost if you've never played the previous games.
Every year is "the biggest showing ever" for them.
Why on earth would you want the big 3 to all release portable/hybrid systems? You can love your Switch all you want but there's no point in having 3 portables.
I shudder at even the thought of only being able to choose from 3 weak hardware offerings at comparatively astronomical prices. I sure wouldn't want to pay PS4 dollars for Switch hardware.
Melee combat in FPV will never be good.
Not sure why anyone would be excited. Hard to believe that someone interested in Diablo 3 hasn't already played it on PC (low min requirements), PS3, X360, PS4, or XB1.
Way better cover than the standard one. It's dynamic and really catches the eye versus the original which looks like a father and son going fishing.
God of War isn't really a full reboot. It is in the sense that they changed the way it looks (3D camera vs fixed) and plays (more realistic) but the story continues from God of War III. It's not a brand new Norse Kratos who's going about his business and one day goes on an adventure. It's the same Kratos fro...
A woman designed it. Also, they don't look miserable at all. They look determined. Women don't always have to be smiling you know.
Better late than never but forming a new studio today means the game won't be out until at least 2021.
Yakuza 6 could have launched on January 1, 2018 and God of War December 31, 2018 and GoW would outsell it for 2018 and of course lifetime.
Ghost of Tsushima might be a 2018 release because Sucker Punch has been working on it since Second Son years ago but TLoU2 was only at an estimated 30% complete status a few months ago at PSX. I doubt ND/Sony would rush them to get it out this year when it's not necessary. The PS4 already has at least 1 exclusive releasing every month on average.
This game is so good that Xbox One owners will only play this and nothing else and not even think of the possibility of other games? Must be the first universally acclaimed 100/100 game that Rare has crafted. I can't wait to play it.
Ico is the next logical move.
New world, new characters, new story, new mechanics? It ain't Horizon then. What you're asking for is another new IP.
You want a new protagonist, completely different setting, completely different enemies and characters, completely different mythology, and different game mechanics.
Sony and Nintendo have too many exclusives that people want to buy to just give them away. Microsoft only has 1 once in a blue moon and they're so mediocre that no one wants to buy them so they can do a game pass to get people to at least try them. They're practically begging people to play Sea of Thieves.
Monster Hunter is nothing like Diablo's gameplay cycle so if you're a Diablo fan and know nothing about Monster Hunter, don't believe this article.
Kind of too late if your issues have already become a meme. Too far gone to course correct now. The Xbox One came out in 2013. Not going to fix anything now. Time to kill it and look ahead.
Horizon deserves to win all 10 categories.
A sequel shouldn't be radically different, else why call it a sequel? It should refine what worked previously and add a few interesting new elements.
God of War has been playable from start to finish since January 2017. There's no way it gets delayed.
Unless MS secretly bought up some studios or made internal ones to develop AAA games a few years ago and are surprise dropping some great looking exclusives, they've got nothing to announce game-wise, outside of potentially more Halo, Gears, and Forza.
3rd party publishers wouldn't sign an exclusive deal with MS at this point because they'd be bonkers to do so. No amount of money would be able to compensate for not being able to sell to an audience of 80+ milli...
