They delayed it so that people without internet could play the best version possible without needing a patch, but they're still going to have a day 1 patch with something as important as camera fixes? Should have come up with a better excuse for the last delay.
Why would anyone even ask this question? The only way it outputs to a TV is through the dock. When it's in the dock, the screen is completely covered.
PS4 isn't selling very well in Japan either but it's not just the game library that turns off Japanese gamers from the XBOX brand. MS made an attempt to garner Japanese developed exclusives and it failed miserably.
Yakuza 1 is a superior game to Shenmue. The number 1 reason why? Yakuza is actually a game. Shenmue is a question asking simulator in between bouts of waiting for time to pass with absolutely nothing interesting to do outside of asking more questions.
Will the PS4 version have HDR as well since every PS4 is now HDR capable?
Every game coming out starting in October must have a Pro mode. It's mandatory. I welcome the day when there's no more "X game will support PS4 Pro" news.
Kojima is never going to work for Konami again so the answer is no. The only way he works on Silent Hills is if Konami sells off their IPs which is possible considering the road they're taking.
It's because the game is also on PS3 in Japan so they can't say Only on PS4.
4K updates for free would be great but I don't expect it. Not because I'm jaded but because there's a lot of work that goes into making a game 4K/HDR. Simply equating it to a patch is illogical. A patch for the most part fixes bugs so that the game operates the way it should or maybe some QoL changes. Yes there are free content updates but those are mostly superficial like adding a new costume or new new multiplayer mode/map (usually not free). Even the lauded Witcher 3 with the &...
He's clearly going to use the Fox Engine. It's not commercially available. It's a famous studio. He's familiar with it. It's capable of open-world games.
Yup. Scorpio is definitely more powerful. Sorry, I mean it will EVENTUALLY be more powerful because at this point, it's just words on a screen or sheets of paper.
The Scorpio isn't more powerful because it doesn't exist. If it was coming out within a few months of the Pro, then sure, you can go ahead and say that but it's not coming out for a full year at least. There is no comparison to be made. Nothing beats the Pro in the console space.
Why is this even a story? Every single game coming out starting in October needs to have a Pro mode. Mandatory.
Honest question here. How can the PS4 Pro be weaker than something that doesn't exist?
Yeah. MS is going to need to do a helluva lot of work to make up for a full year's deficit in sales and public mindshare. PS4 Pro is the ONLY 4k/HDR capable console on the market for a full year.
lol. "fucked itself." This just in folks, mod support, or lack thereof, can make or break a console. Playstation has a long history of allowing mods. We had mods on PS1. Mods on PS2. Mods on PS3. And now we no longer have mods on PS4. Sony is doomed. Oh wait...mods are bullshit in the console space. Console owners don't give a shit about mods. If they cared about mods, they'd be PC gamers. End of story.
I actually love the look of the Slim. It's more sleek and when I look at a picture and look over at my PS4, the one I have looks really bulky and unstreamlined. Given a choice, I'd opt for the Slim on pure aesthetics alone. The improvements are just gravy.
This was always supposed to be a mid-gen upgrade. It's a more premium PS4. That's why it's still carrying the PS4 moniker. It's weird that people expected a beast of a machine while still being a PS4 and costing a mere $400.
MS is out there blathering about how they have the most powerful console ever made but...it's not out for at least a full year. What they have right now is nothing. And MS wowed the gaming world by spewing out beastly specs but they ...
4K, HDR, higher performance, more graphical bells and whistles. Pointless? So all of those visual upgrades are pointless for a visual medium? Ok there. Even without a 4K/HDR capable display, connecting it to a regular 1080p display will yield noticeable dividends. Sharper picture. Super-sampling. Higher performance. More content on screen.
Yeah they'll have the upper hand in terms of specs in a YEAR'S time. But by then, the Pro would have been on the market and selling units for a full year or more. MS is going to be starting from the back again. And the next Playstation will be a year closer than the next MS machine so MS technically will never have the upper hand.
Nobody should be convinced at this stage because Nintendo has given out zero IMPORTANT information. We just know what the thing looks like and how it supposedly works.
