Expect disagrees for this truth by the Greenberg Lemmings. TONS listed on Ebay by scalpers. They do it with all consoles. Some for $1500. Some for $2000. The Greenberg Kool-Aid is strong!

EDIT: There's still some available 4 days later at Gamestop so all this "selling out" hype is obvious inventory control to fabricate fake demand. Greenberg Marketing 101.

Again... we'll see. This is either paid sponsorship, fanboy self-soothing, or hype-bait. When a site has "xbox" in the name, I feel there might be a skewed presentation of the facts since xbox fans are easily fooled by MS's empty marketing.

DF is usually pretty straight about this. If they say it is as good as a $1600 PC then great! Time for me to start upgrading and more competition for us in the industry. Get some exclusives on there, not just the s...

No, 2-4k/30fps is not a beast. Also not a beast when lacking exclusives. People will be building 2k-4k/30fps x86 clones when the xbonex releases to measure cost-per-frame, ultra effects, real 4k vs dynamic, etc. Remember not all games will be 4k/30fps with max graphical effects. And devs keep forgetting that many of us would like a solid 1080p/60 option on these dynamic 4k touted console games.

It would be out of character for MS to do gamers any favors.

MS has been in so much litigation crap by the businesses they bully and for breaking trust laws it's incredible. Their lies and draconian business contracts/EULAS are how MS stays in business. Their enterprise level stuff can all be done on Unix or Linux for free. MIT has one of the most advanced networks on the planet and it is all Unix and Linux.

Excited to see what's coming. While I was a day 1 PSVR buyer and always thought it was very promising after trying the demos (which I fell in love with), it wasn't until I experienced RE7 in VR that completely crushed any remaining doubt I had about VR. The reactions from my gf playing where incredible and she finished RE7 in VR before me. Even after the "novelty" wore off we both preferred finishing RE7 in VR. There were so many surreal moments while sneaking around the...

Used car salesman Greenberg. I am losing my faith in the typical gamers' ability to be a responsible consumer because slowly publishers strip out the good and replace it with... nothing but their profit scheming while "gamers" eat it up.

Typical all talk MS. They do it to us at the enterprise level too. All used car salesman Greenberg self-soothing rubdowns and transparent excitement - like they did at the start of this gen by pretending Xbone sales were extremely high. MS fanboys love to be lied to. Yesterday was just more of that: flashy film school CGI trailers and fake hype scripted gameplay of OLD games. But hey, that Minecraft paintjob though, am I right? :/

The way things have been going, I hone...

Marketing teams - especially at MS - always implement inventory/service restrictions (one aspect of a very common marketing 101 practice) if it can induce product excitement/loyalists and unavailability anxiety. Seems to be working. When another burst of small stock hits retailers then people on the fence won't hesitate.

This plus sleazy scalpers and it is not just on gaming consoles. Mobile and GPU markets get it too.

Kind of makes grabbing brand ...

Very true. They have wanted to bring the ugliness of mobile model to our big games since in-app knee-jerk microtransactions started making publishers billions due to people unwilling to be responsible consumers.

Awesome!

Yeah their show was all talk as usual.

The few games I want to check out are coming to PC (even hitting Steam) so I don't see the reason.

YES! MORE MICROTRANSACTIONS!

And planned "minimal stock" marketing. Smells like the first Xbone days where it was "selling out so fast".
