People who say edgy comments like this about popular old games were clearly not heavily gaming when games like these released with back in the day. Reception was incredible. Nothing like these old "game changing" games were around back then which is why they are revered. Crash played like a dream. Same with FF7 and tons of others people say are overrated. So go eat a fly!
He is clearly joking because if he isn't then the DMV should be notified.
As long as the gameplay feels the same with a smooth/high refresh rate for fluid input responses/panning. Crash has some high paced action so although I think this should be standard on every game without question, this one needs 60fps. Looks like it does so I am happy.
Right. And this is why games that are either 30 or 60 are ok because a 60 hz display (which is the most common out there) can deal with both fine. Any other number in between will not work (yes this includes 59) because it is out of sync with refreshing simultaneously with 60hz. I wish console games that cannot hit 60 would always include a 30 lock. A display and input commands choke at 59 and games become jerky messes. It's about SMOOTH gameplay, so yes 30 works also because pacing ...
Man, everyone here did exactly what Gamingbolt set out to do: get people to argue with each other while they got that sweet and juicy click bait traffic revenue. Real ethical journalism has died in every way because we cant see past the click bait without being "right" with our last word comments.
I love the similarities. Additions to this genre means more singleplayer games of this type for us that challenge dev creativity. I hope they continue to be rivals, and I welcome any new games into this story driven Indiana Jones adventure class. Their action packed, supernatural treasure hunts are amazing! Maybe we will get games from other devs willing to jump in!
Bet you would, Phil. You have yours. They have theirs. Now FIGHT (for my wallet)!

TL;DW - Ubisoft being Ubisoft and not optimizing. Needs a performance patch. High resolution should never take precedence over framerates and Sony needs to start enforcing requirements. Damn you Ubisoft!
I really admired this review since a liberal arts journalist "personality" trying to review a technical product for me is like me trying to review food for a chef. Richard and the gang have a much better and deeper understanding of technical details, application, and potential than sites like IGN, Gamespot and other clicky bait, insecure fanboy, moron magnet sites. As usual, Richard brings some nice attention to detail, digging into the guts of the new console.

I love PS Access, but man this video really is JUST an unboxing with Rob. Surprised N4G has not posted DF's juicy 30 min video (apologies if I missed it). https://www.youtube.com/wat...
These "unboxings" are definitely getting me very anxious (only 5 more days!), but I agree with Richard. I am not a fan of "unboxings". I am much more of a fan of the content dis...
Just buy a dedicated one separately or build a high end PC like me if you care about superb HiQ UHD movies. Streaming is what most people use, even me. The XB1S one is "capable" and may look great to people who don't know better (usually 1st timer 4k people with untrained eyes) but a far cry from a serious UHD player that $250 can buy you, even in terms of pure functionality.
Also, I don't need an extra one and am glad they left it out. I want a gaming ...
Uncharted 4 is getting support!? Prayers answered! Of course their baby would not be ignored - though tbh I was slightly worried since that game is near perfect as is. It is arguably the best use of artistry and graphics this gen has seen and for me a simple 60fps boost (though not simple for hardware) would make it the perfect all around singleplayer game. For me, it doesn't need anything else like a resolution bump or HDR, although I am assuming it will have these enhancements and w...
I paid 31.99 on prime. Those nice prime discounts are why I have stuck with physical disks this gen. Saved me a ton of cash vs digital at ~$10 off per game ($8 in this case) which stacks up as a gaming hobbyist. I'm riding that wave till something better comes for console (hopefully) in this day and age when companies like EA are pushing for minimal content at $120 or ongoing wallet siphoning. I buy tons of stuff for my home each month so it works out in the end.
An...
Yes! I have been on a playstation exclusives hiatus because I want to replay through all those games getting pro updates. Even waiting on affected PS VR games like DCVR and the upcoming Robinson - even though I've had a blast in VR so far (sea sick bands did the trick for me when sickness finally hit).
There's enough out there to keep me happy.
Any source using sponsors, advertising, or ad clicks as revenue is unfortunately questionable and includes youtubers, streamers, websites, and everyone else getting paid from our views/traffic since the priority is now about corporate profits over accuracy, ethics, and truth. There is no solution to this "how do we know the news and reviews are ethical and truthful" problem because these entities cannot really exist without money and we are not willing to pay them directly when big...
REVIEWERS HAVE NEVER SAVED ME FROM A BAD GAME! Quite the opposite, they have encouraged or even mislead me to purchase many buggy or bad AAA titles and given great, lower production games that I've enjoyed a bad image (rich companies have power over them). I also blame them for facilitating and not calling out the abhorrent price gouging that companies have made into an industry-wide, standard practice.
Because of this, I've stopped preordering - unless hardware/p...
Of course public polls are dependable and accurate. /s
According to mathematicians and statisticians, the margin for error is far too wide and volatile, so polls do not even give us an accurate ballpark understanding because - in this instance - there are tens of millions more involved in the group from which these few thousand who participated were chosen (brand popularity dominance by region must also be included). There are far too many variables that small scale polls ...
You negative people are those who get off on killing the fun for others who are excited, because the insecurities about your personal lives are coming through and showing teeth with your venomous comments about A PRODUCT. Same thing happened with PS VR; just rinse and repeat eh?
Nintendo has ALWAYS respected gaming and has never turned it into a whore like MS or EA have. Sony had to learn the hard way and have come back to the good graces of many gamers like me. PS VR ha...
And the negative hardware click bait drama war begins. Gotta get us all arguing in comments though, right? Let some games get announced and lets physically try the damn thing out before all the negativity starts. Jesus. We have no idea. I can't wait to try it and see for MYSELF like I did with the PS VR, instead of listening to negative assumptions of those who haven't even seen it.
Kids huddle over their 3DSs all the time, and now they've made a high end p...
Great! I hate when they do this with movies too. The difference is games change so much that most information unveiled years before nearing release day is hardly representative of the gold version, FFXV being a current example. Before I get flamed, I understand there are exceptions. I would rather see marketing campaigns of an accurately represented product rather than a "vision" (marketing speak for doctored video to secure preorders for nonexistent games), which requires late ...
