GaaS research. Too much talking and and not enough making real games, Phil $pencer! Just a reminder GaaS Games are not games.

Forbesa Killer - FULL game for $60 with no moron magnet loot gambling horsesh*t and includes incredible racing, graphics (HDR beauty and 60fps), music variety, and ZERO gimmicks. A real racing game!

Polyphony setting the racing bar again! Such an awesome demo and that stadium race is just... I wanna pinch myself!

We can always count on EA to bring us all together... in mutual disgust!

Oh man I always make buying decisions on flashy trailers alone. Those always represent the true gameplay experience! Gonna give them all my money to support more gambling and cash collecting platforms... er... I mean GaaS "games".

Awesome game and my first true HDR experience. I miss these great single player games to lose myself in like this and I hope more come.

Wholeheartedly agreed. Games should only cost about $40 realistically given that high budget movies cost that to own on bluray. The ones defending loot gambling sound like addicts in anything unhealthy. They don't care how they get their fix as long as they get that nice juicy rush and will sell their grandmothers or quite literally give them all their money to get it. GaaS pioneers like MS, Activision, and EA are the reason we will see less innovation in games and more of it in how t...

Excellent!

These MS partner games demoed at their xbonex e3 show are the vehicles for their GaaS master plan to monetize that they've had since Day 1 at the start of this gen - including no singleplayer offline play slowly creeping in (evidenced by their last xbox live outage where no one could play Forbesa 7 and other games).

GaaS is the real reason MS wanted to push digital only so badly: total control over your now rented games library.

Because Aaron Greenberg markets it like Axe Body Spray.

Game studios are trying to charge for time in game. That's what has spawned this "rising cost" PR to justify price gouging. Now smaller studios are trying to convince the idiots because the AAA studios have managed to get away with this highway robbery "rising costs" gambling scheme. The games industry, the entire industry, is at $96bil (as we all know now). If they feel game dev costs have gone up, that is a budgeting issue, because studios like Ninja Theory have ...

It's 2017, every company is your best friend and potential surrogate father who wants to give you free hugs and ice cream. Never would they consider price gouging and tripling industry profits while products become chopped into parts like never before - only to be forced to gamble for those parts in a slot machine complete with exploding colors and sound AND low win rates of worthy items.

Yup. Not surprising.

Also with the newly discovered Displacement Study things are going be interesting with this one. PC will also have modders bringing lots of "changes" since it is singleplayer. As I said before (which should not be that hard to figure out), mods have always threatened mic...

Exactly. Until it is removed completely, I will not buy it. They industry value tripled but they have yet to provide value to the customer, and even worse games are chopped up more than ever before.

Yes I read that in the Steam reviews too, but the gambling should not be there period.

Gamble:
1 a :to play a game for money or property
b :to bet on an uncertain outcome

The act of opening loot crates is exactly like a slot machine with the drum roll into the climaxing explosive sound and fireworks light show and the low win rates of desired prizes.

While I agree that the gov should not be in...

There are also other data science reports out there saying the same thing. The profits are record breaking year after year. Thanks to the idiots who believed Peter Moore saying games were too expensive to make when they actually cost the same as a movie.

They want to charge for time-of-use rather than a flat rate like owning a bluray movie or music album or a video game for the last 40 years. The argument is there is more updated and innovative content. Ok where? Games...

Yup. Also this looks like click bait.

People sound like addicts protecting their next fix when they makes excuses for this anti-consumerism. It makes sense because loot box gambling is still gambling including the low win rates and flashy lights and sounds. Thankfully its stigma is gaining a lot more traction and some sites want to help us make purchasing decision like Open Critic.

Games are not more expensive than movies and even if they were publishe...

Good demo too. And shots fired at other arcadey slot machi... er... "racers". Looks like it's going to be a complete game too.

Forbza is an empty shell of its former self, just a slot machine now. User reviews are mediocre. MS should just make themed pachinkos like Konami. Seems they have a willing market.

2805d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

User reviews rate it as mediocre. You should work for MS marketing because you sound like a commercial, just like this website's review. Lord knows they need the help pitching those uninspired and illusory loot boxes in a game lacking any innovation from the last iteration.

Oh yeah and they need help pitching all the other games they partnered up with for the Xbonex demo which *spoiler alert* have loot boxes too, surprise surprise.
