I am proud of consumers who didn't get pressured into buying something they felt uneasy about buying. Steam's discussion board is filled with people asking if they "should buy" this game. When they weren't convinced to join the little gang of fanatical WB addicts, they were being treated by those who vehemently supported this game with so much hate.

A $96 billion industry is not reciprocating the value of the GaaS model. It's win-lose when all f...

Video games contributing by real world application in society!

Agreed Cupid and it's great to see people like you taking a stand and the time to write up these posts.

RE: the article, even Gamespot is standing up to it for crying out loud (re: SWBF2), which is first unbelievable and second means if they are upset, then way too far.

This GaaS model is pure ugliness and predatory. The legal part they've got down because they have their armies of lawyers. Here is the medical breakdown of gambling addiction in i...

Such a great and FULL game without nonsense GaaS models for only $20. So glad these devs are fully 100% self-published and gave us the DRM-free version too.

Though this is currently only on Xbox and PC, we've seen so called "exclusive" games hit other platforms with all this timed exclusivity garbage - especially MS platform titles and their "exclusive" semantics. When a game like this takes off and the devs own the IP, it usually gets released on ...

Yup and notice that the new games coming out never reflect the $96 BILLION gamers are spending annually - relative to the massive leaps we saw in previous gens when the industry was worth 1/3 of what it is now.

As a 17 year veteran of the tech industry I understand software development costs (something consumers should not have to worry about, just like car manufacturing when buying a car), and while games cost more vs what they did in the past, the costs of tools and profe...

They should be able to put whatever they choose want, but I would like to see more options and settings for everyone and let gamers choose what they want. If this game is architecturally accurate, then why not? If it does not have these easy modes then that's fine too as long as the game is good.

I get some gamers want to have bragging rights for beating some games, but I assumed the much sought after Achievements and Trophies solved this problem by signifying that on...

Wow. That's a stretch. This is videos games regulation, a "private" industry and thus civil matter still legislated by government. This is not exploring criminal efforts to create more of a Communist Police State.

I don't like a lot of what governments do like trying to take my guns, spying, militarized police, and racial profiling, etc., and I speak out against matters like this, but the total absence of a governing body in commerce (how we spend our m...

Haha clever. Can't wait to use that on my wife, "full Gollum". Maybe not.

Anyhoo, loot gambling; the drug of the new generation tripling the profits of publishers. What people are forgetting is that these are virtual items and all the undesired in between crap gamblers "win" on the hunt for those Striped Magic Unicorn Pants (the big jackpot) costs ZERO to reproduce after initially creating them, so companies can fill and fill and fill Loot Gamblin...

And because no one is falling for Microsoft's garbage anymore they are pushing the GaaS agenda because they are desperate from falling backwards from last gen given their promises to their shareholder vultures, which was their plan the whole time since the initial xbone reveal.

Agreed.

Looks like most of us uninterested in the loot games are not missing out on much given that most of the games getting loot gambling are not as amazing as IGN, GS, and shills were paid off to make them seem. I bet people are already bored of SoW only a few days after release just like Destiny 2.

My how times have changed because people won't stand up like responsible consumers.

Yeah, like many I was actively online when it was IGN vs Gamespot and they were both great back then. Then the ad traffic measurements and sponsorships from publishers came; according to Peer Schneider they needed the money. That's when everything changed along with the introduction of click bait we all know so well.

Yup IGN is corrupt as hell.

Please. In Japan it isn't hidden like it is in other 1st world countries where you can show mass murder or people being mutilated but show some skin and everyone loses their minds - even though most people's browsing history is busting at the seams with porn links! Assuming you are male because I usually only hear dudes say stuff like this, if you only go to the beach on a hot day for the fresh salty water and air you are lying like a rug.

Exactly this. MS as a "partner" at work. Looks like its made by crayola obviously optimized for xbone and xbonex with ham-fisted loot gambling. I have Shodow of Mordor and love it, but did not buy Shadow of More Dough nor do I want to after all the favorable reviews sounded like used car salesmen selling lemons leaving important details like "money" out of the reviews.

Yup DSOG has a thorough breakdown of these textures looking like a waste. Glad I didn't pick up this mess of a game. Just typical moron magnet marketing, "We have 4k textures too!"

Stay classy WB.
