What is a pirate game without ghost ships? Let’s see how to find and beat the ghost ship Maangodin in Skull and Bones.

Skull and Bones is the newest pirate game, developed and published by Ubisoft. You play as a pirate on its way to becoming the most infamous pirate there is. You have the option to trade, smuggle, plunder merchant vessels and outposts, hunt bounties, sea monsters, and in this case, ghost ships. There is a quest in Skull and Bones near your starting location, that asks you to hunt down a ghost ship, so let’s see where to find it and how to beat it. Read on.

Where to Find the Ghost Ship in Skull and Bones

To find the ghost ship, you first need to take the relevant Contract. From your starting location of Sainte-Anne sail in the southeast direction until you reach a small island. On it is an Outpost named The Oubliette. Disembark and there you will find a Mysterious Rogue NPC vendor. Here you can take the “Oceans Apart” Contract which requires you to find and defeat the Maangodin ghost ship. You also have to bring back the Tarnished Ring, as proof.

It will highlight an area on your map near The Oubliette, located eastward. That is where the ghostship is located. An important note is that it can only appear during nighttime. So if you are looking for it, and it is day, wait for the night to fall. Bear in mind that it is a Level 8 ship, so make sure you are at a similar level. Once you find the Maangodin, how to bring it down?

How to Beat the Maangodin Ghost Ship

When you encounter the Maangodin and start shooting at it, you’ll notice that it takes no damage from it. Being a ghost ship kinda does that. But, there is a way to damage it. As with every ship, even a ghost ship has its weak points (looking like skulls), represented with the usual red outline. Target those until they’re destroyed and you will hear a loud screech. That means that the hull is no longer immune to your weapons. Unleash everything you have at it, until it becomes immune again. Repeat the process to make it vulnerable again until destroyed. It seems like it is immune to boarding, so you have to deplete its health bar all the way through.

The ghost ship packs a lot of punch, so be prepared for a tough fight. Bring friends if possible.

Ghost Ship Loot

Ghost Ship drops a lot of valuable loot, and of course, the Tarnished Ring. You can hunt it regularly and it has a chance of dropping different loot every time. Moreover, it drops Ethereal Ashes, a special currency that Mysterious Rogue wants, in exchange for some special goodies.
