Steps to Fix Helldivers 2 crashing on PC

Verify the Integrity of Game Files
In some cases, game crashes can be caused by files that did not install correctly or got corrupted. Using Steam to verify game file integrity can solve PC crashing problems. Follow these steps to fix this issue:
- Locate Helldivers 2 in your Steam Library.
- Right-click in the game to access Properties.
- Navigate to the Installed Files tab (or Lo and click on Verify integrity of game files.

Disable Steam In-Game Integration
One of the things that can help with crashes in-game is to disable Steam’s in-game UI. Follow these steps to turn off Steam Integration:
- Locate Helldivers 2 in your Library on Steam.
- Right-click on the game and select Properties.
- Go to the General tab and disable the Enable Steam overlay while in-game.
Disable Steam Input
Some players claim that disabling Steam’s controller support has fixed this issue. In the case you are using a controller, in Steam click on the Steam menu tab. Select Settings and then Controller. In the “Override for Helldivers 2” option, select “Disable Steam Input” and try playing Helldivers 2 again.
Update Graphics Drivers

Disable Crossplay
Since the launch, Helldivers 2 has been having issues with this feature, so turning Crossplay off may help out. GameGuard Issues
Recently, there has been an increase in crashes due to GameGuard errors. Most notably an Error Code 360 and Error Code 114. In short, these errors are connected to software conflicts with GameGuard, an anti-cheat and malware-prevention software, and deleting and reinstalling that folder seems to work. Look for the GameGuard folder in the bin folder where your Helldivers 2 is installed, usually C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steam apps/common/Helldivers 2/bin. You can also right-click on Helldivers 2 in your Steam Library and choose Browse Local Files, it will take you to the same folder.
Firewall Settings
Make sure Helldivers 2 and GameGuard are whitelisted in your antivirus settings, Windows Defender, Windows Firewall, and any other similar app.
Close Background Apps
Some background apps can use a lot of your virtual memory, and that can interfere with Helldivers 2. Apps like Google Chrome, Spotify, other game launchers, and even Discord can get in the way of some games, so try closing them before launching Helldivers 2.
