Are Helldivers 2 Servers Down?

Tuesday Steam Maintenance
Every Tuesday, Steam performs maintenance. This, in turn, causes your games to crash and makes you unable to join back in, for a while. Bear in mind that this is not a problem on your side, nor Arrowhead’s. That is just Steam having its regular maintenance session. It happens somewhere between 6pm and 9pm Eastern Standard Time and lasts approximately 30 minutes. So, if it is Tuesday, keep in mind that servers are going to be down for a short while.
Recent Issues
The last major server issue that was followed by server maintenance occurred a week ago, on February 11. This was one of the larger disruptions in the online game’s nascent state. Arrowhead stated: “The current biggest issues are the game not dishing out rewards properly at the end of missions, accompanied with the reoccurring login failures. As always when making changes in a live environment, we need to address this with caution and monitor the situation closely.”
Fortunately, the servers were down for only a limited period of time before returning online. Weekends seem to be the toughest days for Helldivers 2, as basically every Helldivers fan wants to log in during those days. We hope something will be done in the future so everyone who wants to can enjoy the awesomeness that is Helldivers 2.
