Could the Helldivers 2 Major Order Resurrect a Forsaken Booster?

The current Major Order has proven to be quite a challenge for the unexpecting players. Within the first two days, the community has barely made any progress. Now, the players are starting to come up with tactics and they are exploring alternatives. Some Helldivers 2 community members are suggesting that a rarely used Booster might do the trick and allow them to complete the Major Order.

A Booster Might Boost the Major Order Progress

One devoted Helldiver, Aceboyy, suggested a long-forgotten booster could save the MO. This player stated: “This booster might finally be relevant with the current MO”. Alongside, they posted an image of the Expert Extraction Pilot Booster.

Now, just for a reminder, this Booster is fairly unpopular. It’s one of the items in the Democratic Detonation Warbond. This Booster reduces the time it takes for the Pelican-01 to arrive and extract you from a mission by 15%. That means that the usual 2-minute waiting time is reduced by 18 seconds.

Reasons Why Most Helldivers 2 Players Avoid This Booster

Unfortunately, even though it might help a tiny bit, not many Helldivers 2 players plan on using this Booster in the current Major Order. Their reasons vary, but they all state this Booster doesn’t deserve that title.

One Redditor, TheNumberOneS**rm, explained: “This Booster shouldn’t be a Booster. It should be something you can buy for requisition slips, that is enabled for X amount of games like a temporary buff. It’s such an unnecessary cost to take this”.

Several players stated that if this Booster were buffed, they’d gladly use it, but with only a 15% decrease in the waiting time, it doesn’t pay off. One player, grongnelius, said: “Make it come instantly and maybe I’d think about using it in a group of 4 where we all already have the main good Boosters”. Others would settle down on at least a 25% decrease.

Adventurous-Event722 noted: “This is a gamble imo. Sometimes you just.. sit there at extract plinking off the random bots. Sometimes they throw everything at you including the kitchen sink, and you wish Pelican 1 would drop in asap. It could be helpful I guess if you run out of time, having several dozen Samples, but no Stratagem to defend extract”.

Well, we’d say that 15% isn’t a bad deal, sure, a bigger percentage could help a lot more, but don’t knock it until you try it. There is one tiny problem, we aren’t sure that this Booster would work on a mission with increased extraction time. We’d suggest you try it out anyway, who knows, it might save your mission.
