If you want to get some Wheat in Hades 2, this article will explain everything there is to know about it.
Hades 2 is a sequel to a popular roguelike from 2019. This time you play as Melinoe, the Princess of the Underworld, and the sister of the first game’s protagonist. For your quest to defeat Chronos, you will need a lot of different ingredients and materials. They range from mundane (like Bronze or Ashes) to more magical in nature (like Darkness or Thalamus). Those materials are needed for various Incantations and upgrades, so with that in mind, let’s see how to get Wheat in Hades 2.
How to Get Wheat in Hades 2
To get Wheat, you must first plant some Wheat Seeds at the Crossroads. You can find those Seeds in The Fields of Mourning. That is the third region that you get to in the Underworld, after Erebus and Oceanus.
Remember to bring your Silver Spade along. Without it, the chances of Digging Spots appearing are pretty slim. Once you see a Digging Spot in The Fields of Mourning, approach it and press the prompted button to Dig. This will net you some Wheat Seeds.
Once back at the Crossroads, find an empty Soil Plot and plant Wheat Seeds. After 13 “clocks” (which you can pass by visiting the Hot Springs or by going through Encounters) the seeds will grow into Wheat stalks. Approach them, press the prompted button to Harvest them, and Wheat will be added to your inventory.
How to Use Wheat
For now, you only need Wheat for a couple of Incantations. The Incantations in question are Verdant Soil (requires one Wheat and one Garlic) and Attending a Faithful Beast (requires four Wheat, one Tears, and one Wool).
Alternatively, you can sell excess Wheat for 14 Bones a pop, at the Wretched Broker’s.
No doubt, more uses for Wheat will be added in the future.
