Consumables can sometimes grant you powerful permanent bonuses. Read on to see how to find and use Golden Trove Beetle in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Finding loot on your travels is one of the staples of adventure games, and Dragon’s Dogma is no different. For example, you can collect herbs and fruit on your travels and then combine them into useful items. But, some consumables offer you more powerful bonuses. Golden Trove Beetles are just like that. So, let’s see how to find and use Golden Trove Beetle in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: How to Find Golden Trove Beetle

You can find Golden Trove Beetles while exploring around, usually near the roads. Unsurprisingly, they look like large glowing golden beetles. You can find them predominantly on trees and tree trunks, but it is not impossible for them to be standing on nearby rocks, or right in the middle of the path.

They do now respawn, rather there is a limited number of them in the world. Since they glow, your best bet is to look for them during the night, so you can spot them from afar. Moreover, if you have a Pawn with the Simple Inclination, they can pick up Beetles that you miss.

There are a number of them even in the early locations. You can find one to the north of Melve. If you continue northward (or northwest of Borderwatch Outpost), you can find three more Beetles near the road. Remember that you’ll spot them more easily if you travel when it’s dark.

Golden Trove Beetles give you an invaluable boost. Each time you “use” one, your carry weight gets a permanent increase of 0.15kg. This also applies to your main Pawn, you don’t have to give them a separate Beetle. The word among the players is that you can only use up to 60 of them. If that is true, then the total possible bonus from Golden Trove Beetles is an extra 9kg of carrying capacity.

Your movement speed depends on the amount of weight you are carrying around. The more “room” you have left, the faster you will move. So, in a way, a Golden Trove Beetle gives you a movement speed increase.
