It’s no secret that Dragon’s Dogma 2 doesn’t run very well on PC, despite the game’s minimum and recommended specs. How to Fix Low FPS in Dragon’s Dogma 2 on Xbox Series X|S and PS5
Unfortunately, there’s not much you can do to better your frame rate if you’re playing Dragon’s Dogma 2 on console. Neither Xbox nor PlayStation have access to performance or graphics modes, meaning you’re stuck dealing with the target frame rate of between 30 and 40 FPS. In some cases, you might even witness drops to 25 FPS or lower.
Understandably, this has caused a lot of frustration among console players. On the bright side, Capcom is well aware of the game’s performance issues across console and PC, and the developer is working on fixes. - Confirm the game is closed
- Right-click Dragon’s Dogma 2 in the Steam Library and open Properties
- Select Browse Local Files in the Local Files tab
- Rename config.ini to config_backup.ini
- After copying config_default.ini, rename the copied file to config.ini
- Click Play from the Steam client to start the game
