As with basically every RPG out there, the newest one from Capcom has a leveling system. Read on to learn how to level up in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is an action role-playing game developed and published by Capcom, a sequel to the successful Dragon’s Dogma from 2012. The game is set in a parallel world to the one from the first game. You can fully customize your in-game avatar, called the Arisen, and you get to choose between four Vocations: Fighter, Archer, Thief, and Mage. And, as you would expect, you gather experience points during your adventures, which you need to level up your character. With that in mind, here’s how to level up in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: How to Level Up

Leveling up will make your character more powerful. Unsurprisingly, you Level up in DD2 by gathering XP points. You get some experience points for fighting monsters but the majority of your XP will come from completing quests. As you level up, your stats will automatically increase, based on your chosen Vocation. What’s great is that if you change your Vocation at some point, your stats will be adjusted accordingly.

On a side note, if you dismiss all your Pawns, you will get a 20% boost to XP gains.

How to Level Up Vocation Ranks in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Leveling up your Vocation Rank is a tiny bit different. It does not use the same XP you get from quest completion. Rather you get “Vocation XP” only through combat. In short, the more you fight, the higher your Vocation rank will get.

In conclusion, the best way to level up your Arisen is to explore the world around you. You will inevitably come across monsters and side quests, which almost always feature some form of combat, so both of your XP pools will be filled.
