As with any major release, Dragon’s Dogma 2 players have found all manner of exploits and general tricks to use for smoother gameplay. We’ve covered the best of the bunch, so read on for all the details.
Since its launch last week, Dragon’s Dogma 2 has received its fair share of criticism in terms of overall performance, console optimization, and the implementation of microtransactions. Capcom has just released a new patch to remedy some of the issues pervading the player base. However, many creators have also taken matters into their owns hands, offering up various mods for vocation boosts, combat lock-on, and much more. With these solutions and tools made available, there are still a few exploits that players can use to gather resources and Gold in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Here are some of the best so far.

Best Dragon’s Dogma 2 Exploits So Far
At the moment, there are two major exploits making their rounds in the Dragon’s Dogma 2 player base, though they both operate using the same method. The first purpose is to duplicate essentially any item you’ve obtained in the game. Naturally, most have used the glitch to copy Portcrystals, Ferrystones, and Golden Trove Beetles, but you can even dupe quest items.
The second way, on the other hand, gives you infinite Gold. Similar tricks are always a popular choice once discovered since there’s little else you’d need to do to make money in the game.
With all that being said, it’s advised that you use these exploits with some caution. DD2 has Denuvo anti-cheat, meaning it’s possible that you may face repercussions if the software detects anything out of the ordinary. In the worst-case scenario, detection could result in a full-blown ban. If you’re willing to risk it, here’s how to use either trick on your playthrough.
Item Duplication & Infinite Gold Exploit
- Set up two accounts or link up with another player.
- At least one account must be relatively established, having made a good bit of progress in the game.
- Both accounts must be registered friends on your platform of choice.
- Once your accounts are good to go, decide on a main account to select a donor item.
- Perform a manual save through the game’s main menu.
- Go to the nearest Rift Stone and set a Pawn Quest.
- If you haven’t made enough progress in the game to do this, then you’ll need to have your Main Pawn hired out by someone else.
- From there, go to Request for Other Players.
- Select Acquire Item.
- Choose the item you’d like to receive.
- Choose what you’ll offer in exchange, which can include Items or Gold. For items, you can select up to 12 of the same item to dupe. If you want infinite Gold, go for the cash.
- When you’re all set, hit Confirm and Leave the Rift.
- After that, either swap with your other account or save and exit the game.
- Don’t sleep at an inn in the process.
- The receiving account will then need to enter the Rift.
- Select Search for a Pawn, then Friends’ Pawns.
- Summon the main account’s Pawn and choose Hire.
- Without leaving the Rift, select Give Item.
- Choose an item from the inventory to gift to the main account.
- In return, you’ll get up to 12 of the items originally gifted by the main account or Gold.
- Dismiss the hired Pawn.
- You can choose to give a gift or cancel.
- Go back to the Rift Stone and choose Search for a Pawn.
- Select Friends’ Pawn.
- Summon the same Pawn and choose Hire.
- From there, choose Give Item.
- In return, you’ll receive the same 12 items again or the same amount of Gold.
Sneak Into Battahl
Maybe not an exploit per se, since one of the NPC mentions this method (there is even an Achievement for doing this). But, the general idea is that if you do not have a permit to enter the city of Bakbattahl, you can sneak inside on an Ox Cart. When an Ox Cart approaches the city gates, hop into it without anyone noticing you. The gates will open without anyone checking it and you’ll be inside the city.
