Coral Island – How to build a Barn
Are you trying to find out how to build a barn for your farm in Coral Island? This guide will help you build a home for your animal friends.
Coral Island is a farming simulator RPG in the vein of Stardew Valley and other similar titles. While developing your very own farm, you’ll also have the opportunity to meet other townsfolk, interact with the Starlet Town, and go on meaningful adventures. But as the saying goes, the farm must grow. Animal husbandry is one of the important steps necessary for a diverse and successful farm. And the first big step in that direction is building a barn. So let’s dive in and find out how to build your first barn in Coral Island.
How to build your first Barn in Coral Island
To build your barn, you will first need to visit the Carpenter, Joko and Dinda, in Starlet Town. They offer many building blueprints for your farm, but the one you’re looking for is the Barn Blueprint. You can purchase as many of them as you like and store them in your chest at home. However, they don’t stack, so plan ahead.
To purchase the Barn Blueprint, you will need several materials to pay the cost. Those materials include:
- 200 Wood
- 100 Stone
- 5 Bronze Bars
- 10 Fiber
- 3000 Coins
After you obtain the blueprint, return to your farm and you can go about building the barn. Note that the barn occupies 8×5 tiles of empty space and you can have multiple of them. Once you’ve put down the blueprint, it will take one day for the barn construction to complete.
What is the Barn for in Coral Island?
After you’ve built the barn, you can use it to house four animals in it. Initially, you can get sheep and cows from the Ranch, if you meet the Town Rank requirements. However, the barn can be upgraded further to house more animals. For example, a Level 2 Barn can hold eight animals, with pigs and goats added into the mix.
Moreover, there are plans for further upgrades as the game develops, which would allow you to upgrade your Barn to Level 3. This would let you house 12 animals, including llamas and luwaks.
