In Coral Island, you’ll be immersed in the culture of Starlet Town as you tend to your farm and become an active member of the community. In the northeastern corner of the small seaside town, you’ll find the Lake Temple. Here, islanders often make offerings at the Sesajen altars. These typically consist of various produce goods, most of which can be grown and harvested on your own plot of land. However, the same can’t be said for shallots. You’ll need to get your hands on just one of these red, bulbous vegetables to make your Summer offering. That said, finding one can prove difficult, as you can’t purchase seeds from Sam’s General Store in town. Here’s where to get shallots to lay at the altar.
- Build Your Workshop: Use an intricate set of machines to process materials and produce parts of huge structures before assembling them piece by piece to help Sandrock flourish. Create hundreds of unique items at the worktable to decorate your homestead, give gifts to Sandrock’s residents, or assist with community requests.
- Explore the Open World: Explore vast deserts surrounding the city-state of Sandrock. Dive into ruins to dig for Old World relics, seek out materials in hard-to-reach locations, or spend time relaxing in Sandrock with your neighbors.
- Extensive Stories for NPCS: Experience a detailed story complete with hundreds of side quests and over 30 all-new characters. Spend time getting to know Sandrock’s residents, uncovering backstories, and making meaningful connections along the way, including romance and the option to get married and have children!
- New Combat: Quickly shift between melee combat and third-person shooting mechanics in dynamic action battles. Use the new weapons and defense break mechanic to your tactical advantage or boost your stats to simply smash through battles. Face a wide range of enemies in dungeons and experience a realistic and ever-changing desert environment.
- Mini-Games and More: Sand running, gun fighting, sand fishing, holiday events, and many more, allow you and local residents to stay entertained in the desert town. Use your workshop’s profits to turn the empty prairie into farmable land. Grow crops for extra cash or transform them into delicious dishes.
Where to Find Shallots in Coral Island
While most of the goods required for seasonal offerings can be purchased as seeds from Sam’s General Store in Coral Island, shallots can’t be bought. Instead, you’ll need to forage these vegetables from various areas of the island. This will require a bit of searching. However, you should turn up with at least one shallot if you survey the following locations:
- The Caverns – In the northwest region of the island, you’ll find the Caverns. Here, you should be able to snag a few shallots sprouting up from the grassy areas outside.
- The Vineyard – Located just outside of town, you might have some luck finding shallots in the Vineyard. This location is marked by its floral trellises, so it’s hard to miss. You should check here when you pass this area on your way into town.
- The Western Woods – While the forest doesn’t have an official name, you can find shallots on the ground in a densely wooded area on the western edge of the island. This is located just past a nearby ranch. If you’re having trouble orienting yourself, head north from the overlook in the area.
- Shady locales – In the event that you come up empty-handed in your search for shallots, you should try looking in shaded areas. Outside of your own farm, that is. Generally, these vegetables tend to grow in spots that are overshadowed by trees and such. Scour each nook on the island to pocket what you need.
- Trashcans – While the odds are slim, you may be able to get shallots by searching trashcans. These produce items will rarely show up here, so trash is worth checking out if you can’t seem to find shallots elsewhere.
- Mail from Zarah – Once you’ve earned two hearts with Zarah, there’s a chance that she’ll gift you shallots by mail. The only caveat here is that she’ll only send them in the Spring. Unless you save your gift for the Summer offering, this may not be the most reliable method to get shallots. However, it’s certainly an option.
