Baldur’s Gate 3 – How to Get to Adamantine Forge

Baldur's Gate 3 Multiplayer

Some places in BG3 are quite tricky to get to, Adamantine Forge being one of them. This guide will explain how to get to Adamantine Forge in Baldur’s Gate 3.

The Underdark is full of special locations, and the legendary Adamantine Forge is one just like that. It is an ancient device, where you can make powerful weapons and armor. But getting there is not so easy, so we have found a couple of ways to get to Adamantine Forge in Baldur’s Gate 3.

How to Get to Adamantine Forge in Baldur’s Gate 3

To reach the Adamantine Forge in Act 1, first, you need to get to Grymforge. Use the Duergar skiff docked in Underdark – Beach to sail to Grymforge. Once there, there are several ways you can go about this.

Using Magic

If you have access to spells that allow some form of movement across large gaps, like Misty Step, Enhance Leap, Dimension Door, Fly, or anything similar, then reaching Adamantine Forge is quite easy. Go where the cave-in with Nere is. To the immediate left of it, there is a small patch of rock near a fallen statue. From there you can teleport, jump, or fly across the gap to a small rocky outcrop with a large cogwheel lying there on the floor. You can do this with only one character because when you continue from that point onward, down some stairs, you will get to the Adamantine Forge Waypoint, and the rest of your Party can simply fast-travel to it. Continue down a long broken stairway and you will reach the Adamantine Forge.

Using Hanging Platforms

If you lack spells that can take you directly to the Forge, there is a more “natural” way. From the entrance of Grymforge, follow the wall on your right and go up the stairs until you get to a vendor. After him, you will find a group of Duergar and some Rothé, trying to clear some debris. You can assist them, attack them, or even use animal-speaking abilities to turn the Rothé on the Duergar, after clearing the debris.

Follow the now open path, and walk through the right corridor until you reach a tower with two levers and a platform. Jump on the platform and shoot the second lever to drop it down to the corridor in the middle. Walk through the corridor until you reach the end with another floating platform you must jump on. Across the platform, you’ll spot another two levers; shoot the one on the far side (the left-hand side). Once the platform stops moving, jump down to another hanging platform, and then continue forward to the area where the Adamantine Forge Waypoint and entrance are.

It is also possible to do this method in reverse order. To do that, you would start from the area of Nere’s cave-in, jumping over the lava and climbing up to where the last two levers are located. From there, follow the parapets back and you’ll end up in the same location as you would after clearing the debris.
