Dead Island 2 is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver. Set in California, the game is a sequel to Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide, with players taking on the role of survivors fighting against the zombie outbreak. The game is set to feature various playable characters, known as Slayers, each with unique abilities and playstyle.
Slayers are the playable characters in Dead Island 2, with players able to choose from six different characters to play as. Each Slayer has their own strengths and weaknesses and a unique set of abilities that can be unlocked and upgraded throughout the game.

Bruno
Bruno is an evasive and slippery character who excels in combat. His Rapid Reprisal ability gives him a boost to his agility after dodging or blocking attacks, allowing him to stay nimble and avoid damage. This pairs well with his Backstab ability, which gives him additional damage when attacking zombies from behind.

Carla
Carla is a former stunt daredevil who thrives in dangerous situations. Her Dig Deep ability increases her toughness stat when her health is low, turning her into a tank. Her Mosh Pit ability gives her more damage when surrounded by zombies, allowing her to take out groups of enemies quickly.
Dani
Dani is an aggressive roller derby star who deals fast and heavy damage. Her Bloodlust ability regenerates her health when she kills multiple zombies back to back, allowing her to stay in the fight longer. Her Thunderstruck ability follows her heavy attacks with an area-of-effect explosion for extra damage, making her a powerful force on the battlefield.

Jacob
Jacob is the charismatic rockstar of the Slayers. His Feral ability gives him a damage boost when killing multiple zombies back to back, allowing him to quickly take out large groups of enemies. His Critical Gains ability increases critical damage when he is out of stamina, making him a formidable opponent even when he is low on resources.
Ryan
Ryan is a former exotic dancer who knows how to defend himself against hordes of attackers. His Seesaw ability restores health when he knocks a zombie onto the ground, allowing him to keep fighting even when his health is low. His Retaliation ability increases his force stat when he dodges or blocks attacks, allowing him to deal more damage to enemies while also avoiding their attacks.
