Everything coming to Season 2 of The Finals

Season 2 is coming to The Finals, full of new things and changes. The second Season of the game is starting on March 14, 2024. The Finals have been taken over by the hacker collective known as CNS. Changing the source code, CNS has entered unauthorized contestants into the game, added a new specialization, new gadgets, and even altered the maps. Although the in-game showrunners are scrambling to deal with this breach, the show must go on. Stay with us and let’s go over everything coming to The Finals with Season 2.

Everything New in The Finals Season 2

The Finals Season 2 brings many new and exciting things to the game. Undoubtedly, we are in for a treat with this new season. There is much to look forward to – from new guns and gadgets, to a new map and play mode. The following are all the new additions to The Finals when Season 2 lands on March 14.

New Specialization

The Dematerializer is a new specialization for the Medium Build. This specialization temporarily erases physical surfaces, allowing contestants to see, pass and shoot through them. Making it possible to create doors and passageways from any obstacles. This includes walls, ceilings and even goo.

New Gadgets

One new gadget is added for every Build in the game. These are the new Gadgets coming to The Finals:

The Gateway

The Gateway is a new gadget for the Light Build, consisting of a pair of limited-range deployable portals. Once both portals are deployed, the contestants and objects can freely move between two locations. Although anyone can travel using these portals, players cannot shoot or see through them.

The Data Reshaper

A new gadget for the Medium Build can change any random object or enemy defensive gadgets into something else. Turning enemy turrets and mines into arena carriables can be life-saving. This makes for a great tool to dismantle fortified objectives, and easily steal cashouts.

The Anti-Gravity Cube

Heavy Build’s new gadget is the Anti-Gravity Cube. Once deployed, the cube will manipulate gravity in its area of effect, lifting objectives and contestants into the air. This gadget promises to be a great tool for offence, defence and even map traversal.

New Weapons

All Builds have received a new weapon in Season 2. For the Light Build, this is the 93R Burst-fire Pistol. Meanwhile, the Medium Build got the FAMAS Burst Rifle, and the Heavy Build got the new KS-23 Slug Shotgun.

New Map: SYS$HORIZON

The Hacker Collective CNS has added a new Arena to The Finals, called SYS$HORIZON. This neon-filled cityscape is full of floating glitchy geometry pieces that give contestants an alternative option to traverse their way through the arena. This makes for a map that is a mix of horizontal and vertical gameplay.

New Game Mode: Power Shift

In Power Shift, two teams of five players compete to escort a platform through the arena. The platform will either stop moving or switch direction when confronted by the enemy team. Additionally, the platform will destroy and move through anything in its path and it can be affected by physics. Moreover, in this mode, players can switch between their contestants when respawning.

New Ranked Play

The ranked system has gone through some changes. The League system now provides improved ranked play and league rewards, along with a new Career Progression system that brings weekly rewards. Players can now complete contracts throughout the Season while moving through the ranks.
