"This is just one of those things right? One so very aggravating; the fact that we just can’t seem to make a great movie adaptation of a video game. We try and try and try again, but we never seem to get it right. Now, there’s a difference between a successful movie franchise and a good movie. Take in to account Resident Evil for example. The movie adaptation franchise has found a high amount of success in the box office compared to other attempts at bringing our favorite games to the big screen, but the movies are mediocre at best. They started off promising, sure, but maybe Hollywood took over a little too much… -- PlayStation Enthusiast
Got that retro survival horror bug? Here's Chit Hot's picks for the seven best survival horror games from yesteryear.
Eternal Darkness was way ahead of its time especially for a Nintendo exclusive.
I would love to see a remake or sequel (multiplatform)
4 people love Eternal Darkness.
Quick! Jump on that remake, whoever holds the rights these days.
GameFlavor's Resident Evil First Aid Drink is making a comeback, offering high quality Resident Evil merch.
Games like Lethal Company end up scary because of their freeform nature, while Resident Evil's polish and storytelling ultimately make them rather tame in comparison. Agree or disagree?
If they stick to the game and the source material
There is a reason why book adaptations do so well, you don't see them changing the source material or try to create something new out of it.
Follow the games stories and before the "Bu, bu but gamers would want to see something new and fresh, not something they've already played"....tough shit, lets be real it's not for us, it's for a new audience and if by sitting through the same story I've already played where I know what's going to happen then so be it, as long as I finally get to see a good video game film for once.
Resident Evil for example...what's wrong with a Special police team setting out to find the previous team only to fall back on a spooky mansion full of zombies and experiments produced by a corrupt pharmaceutical company. Seems pretty film worthy to be, there's stuff you can cut out and stuff you can keep in. It can work
Hopefully Assassins Creed or Ratchet and Clank can pull it off next year.
Yes, its called GoldenEye 007 (N64)...

Why not turn Until Dawn into a movie? It was a very well made game and there are a ton of Horror fans out there. They could even cast the same actors and actress's from the actual game.
Make it happen Supermassive Games and Sony! :)
Spider Man 2 for consoles?
