I want to know the actual specs of the hardware. If it's weaker than PS4/Xbox One, then it's a no-buy. I'm just not going to invest in a new console that's a half generation behind the current competition (and we'll over an entire generation in the next year).
You can't just swap the HDD. It'll ask you to reformat as soon as you boot the console. You're going to have to do the back-up/restore process if you want to swap HDDs.
It's a must-play regardless of whether you have the Pro or standard PS4.
"Why did they not add a 4K Blu-ray drive?"
Cost, and it's not required to play games on the PS4 Pro.
It seems the author didn't read past the list on the PS blog because it says this:
"In addition to the titles listed above, more than 45 games will be optimised for PS4 Pro by the end of the year, including Watch Dogs 2, Killing Floor 2, The Last Guardian and Final Fantasy XV, with the likes of Nioh, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard and For Honor to follow in early 2017."
Meaning that the list on the blog isn't the full list. And just because ...
The last two wolfenstein games have been excellent, so I have high hopes for this sequel.
"What else can they really reveal?"
specs, for one thing...
edit: this thing has me intrigued, but I will not invest in this device if it's weaker than PS4/Xbox One.
Right... because no work is ever involved with putting together a remaster, and they never, ever come with all of the DLC released with the original version... /s
They're good if you hadn't played the original version. For example, I hadn't played Gears before, but played the ultimate edition - I think that was probably the best way to play that game since you got vastly improved visuals, as well as rock solid performance. These days I'm finding it less tempting to get a remaster of a game I've already played - TLoU and TR definitive edition are the only two I've purchased, and I honestly only finished TLoU (I didn't even ...
We won't know the answer to that question until we know the specs.
the game doesn't need MP. everything else, I agree.
@luke:
"How it ended pissed me off..."
its ending was clearly a set-up for the next game, I think they even said before the game launched that they intended it to be a triology. understanding that, there should be no reason to be upset with the ending. I also think that people who complained about the lack of explanation of some of the background story also missed the point of the game being the first part of a series. no series of any movie ...
Good, I actually want there to be a sequel - I enjoyed the game, and this'll give them an opportunity to resolve any of the issues people had.
"Wait, Was That Skyrim On Nintendo Switch?"
clearly it was.
this is just a deal for some MP content, not the entire game. it's still coming to Xbox One at the same time as the PS4 version...
@septic:
"It's just money hatting. Standard practice. Nothing more beyond that based on what we know.
It's a smart move by Sony that's all.
Microsoft have lost out here..."
except it's just MP content, which'll just amount to some character skins, weapons that probably aren't any better than what's already in the game, and maybe a few maps. i wouldn't even really consider this...
have they given any details on the specs? that's what i'm more interested in - after seeing the device, i've changed my position on it slightly, but i still need to know how powerful it's going to be.
You could not tell what the resolution was based on that video. That's literally impossible to determine.
I have to admit that looked really cool. I know I said I wouldn't get it if it wasn't a straight up console, but I want to know the specs for this thing. I just don't want something that's weaker than the other current systems.
I'd spend 99.999% of the time playing it on my couch at home on my TV (I don't do handheld gaming very much, if at all - it's even been years since I turned on my vita).
It's just time Nintendo let go of whatever issue they have with releasing a system that equals the specs of the competition, and actually put something on the market that can compete. I'm sure with even just the power of the PS4/Xbox One they'd be able to consistently release games ...
