"So an experienced developer is somehow less credible because YOU believe they never made a game for Playstation?"

They haven't, though: https://en.wikipedia.org/wi... so it's not an issue of whether it's his belief. Do you have any evidence to support that he has any experience with this particular technique? Having experience certainly lends credibility to the opinion, esp...

"Is that why Digital Foundry cited checkerboard rendering as one of the reasons for Final Fantasy 15 appearing blurry?"

that's an issue with the competency of the developer, not the technique. other games that use that technique seem to have no trouble. nice try, though.

Is this just MP or does it affect the entire game?

"... Sony said all PS4 games will run on the PRO..."

And they do all run on the Pro. Can you cite a specific vanilla PS4 game that can't play on the PS4 Pro?

"Really, it's the games fault that Sony released a new console that can't play them as smoothly as the base console?"

It's not the console's inability to run the game, it's the game's code that hasn't been properly optimized.

"... It's not Sony's responsibility that all ps4 games run on the PRO satisfactorily?"

It's the devs' responsibility to ensure that their game runs c...

"Can't wait! Then people will shut up about it and never complain again!"

oh, people will complain... especially if there's a fee.

edit:

"Don't see why. Had to pay to change mine on XBox. It's a convenience fee, IMHO. I didn't think twice about it."

I wouldn't have a problem with it, either, but you know how people get sometimes. If I am not mistaken, they've been able...

You do know that it doesn't have to be AAA, "demanding" in order for it to count as a native 4K title...

It's intriguing how quickly you're dismissing these titles just because they're indie or less demanding that some AAA games.

You should probably look it up yourself if you think that demographic is being underrepresented in video games, even right now.

"... this white male hatred bias has got to stop."

A little less representation in video games/TV/movies, and a little less representation in elected office != white male hatred bias. That's pure insanity.

"Everyone knows had he said "I hate Christians" he wouldnt have got banned."

That's something that you cannot definitively say. Are you able to prove that with any kind of examples?

There's one thing white males are not, and that's being underrepresented in video games.

How is that TV? I'm thinking about it, but the reviews I've seen have been only so-so. I just want to hear from someone who has the TV to help in deciding whether to pull the trigger.

@dragon:

1. No. those laws weren't limited to protecting someone from being murdered. There are examples as early as the 14th century of cases involving someone being accused of treachery or having a second wife - two accusations that are meant to cause harm to the individual's reputation. The harm doesn't have to/never had to be bodily, and the sheer fact is that you cannot just say anything you want because there are laws that prevent anyone from causing ha...

@dragon:

1. The limitations aren't just specific to defending against bodily harm. You can also be responsible for libel/slander/defamation, which doesn't cause any bodily harm whatsoever. So, the limitations are there to defend against harm, in general, regardless of whether it's physical.

2. You need to re-read what I wrote. To rephrase: I said online anonymity doesn't give anyone the right to sexually harass, threaten or use any hate...

No it doesn't. And there are still limits to "free speech." It is a criminal offence to utter death threats, for example: https://defencelaw.com/utte...

I also never said "bae" was hate speech...

Anonymity doesn't give anyone the right to sexually harass, threaten or utter any other kind of hate speech.

It doesn't matter whether girls are also guilty of being disrespectful.

Most sexual harassment doesn't involve physically touching someone. Believing that it's only a physical thing just shows how you don't understand what the term means.
