@Yezz
Well you can load a PC with multiple hard drives. Hence if a PC has 250 GB SSD, its ok since other media etc can be kept on other drives etc.
On console you only have a space for 1 hard drive. Hence if its small then its becomes cumbersome installing and deleting things. Hence you need a large SSD on the console which will cost lots of money.
Gameplay looks very smooth, looks like they nailed the PC version optimization.
Problem with SSD on console is you need to get a really big one, considering how big install files have gotten too. I would say atleast 1 TB of SSD. Since consoles can hold on 1 drive. Which means alot of money.
On a PC you could get away with a 250 GB SSD. Install currently played games on that SSD. While you could have a back up 3 TB hard drive for all your media.
Hence unless you are willing to spend 400-500usd on an SSD for the console i think its not wor...
GTA 5 On a Titan X, at 3440 X 1440 with everything turned up 4x AA i see about 5.5GB usage.
GTA 5 is a last gen game, i think going forward specially at higher resolutions beyond 1080p people will need GPUs with minimum 6gb - 8gb Vram.
@Hammad
You sound like a salty console gamer lol. PC graphics power doubles every 18 months. If high end graphics cards can run 4k now. Its not beyond expectations to have mid range run 4k in 2-3 years time.
@Rock-Lee
No ones saying about spending 400usd on a GPU every 2 years. Hell if you spent that much now you probably already can play in 4k. Eventually people do tend to upgrade in 4-5 years time. At which point whatever games they bought ...
Check what PC gamers are playing on steam, you will note many of the games played are being played because of their gameplay not because of the graphics:
Dota 2, CS GO, TF2, Skyrim.
These games are all about gameplay. Now that doesnt mean we dont like graphics. Its just we get the best of both worlds good game play and mind blowing graphics.
Played the Witcher 2 two times both times as a melee character. Really want to play it as a mage.
While 1080p and 60fps are amazing(personally i am at 1440p), whats even better is that anytime in the future when you decide to upgrade you can get a better experience automatically.
Imagine many people who are at 1080p may decide to upgrade to 1440p or 4k, sometime down the line as hardware will inevitability get more and more powerful.
Hence an upgrade anytime down the line say 2-3 years will automatically mean an HD remake for free. Imagine replaying the g...
Game is very well optimized on the PC. Having a blast with it, i think its going to be on my PC for a very long time.
The problem with the 980's is the limited VRAM 4GB is really nothing at 4k. Specially with how VRAM hungry games have become.
I would recommend atleast a GTX Titan or Titan X for 4k Gaming the additional VRAM really helps.
You dont need an I7 for gaming, if you have any PC at home that has a I5 or so then you just need an graphics upgrade thats all.
People need to wake up to the fact that its the central banks that are printing money out of thin air and keeping interest rates at 0% devaluing all currencies.
This reckless behavior is causing prices of just about everything to go up, their excuse is that they want inflation. While they arent willing to admit true inflation thats really hurting the public, its an indirect tax on everyone.
I think Canada might be a test case, it might not be long before ther...
@thekhurg
Consider Witcher is the sort of game that is a collectors item. I personally have W1 and 2 on my steam list, they arent going away and years later i can go back to play them. Thats one of the big advantages of the PC platform.
Specially Witcher is not an online game hence i would easily pick the PC version. Grab an HDMI cable play it on your TV from your PC. Also you could grab a blutooth dongle to play wirelessly from you PC.
@breakpad
There is no Uncharted, Demon Souls or MGS on PS4.
PC version looking solid.
@Genuine-User
Why do you have to make this a Console VS PC argument?
Do we need to highlight to you that some of us prefer the 60fps and beyond 1080p experience or that buying GTA 5 on PC having the ability to play it for a very long time. I could still play GTA 2,3,4 on my PC if i wanted to. So we have BC an option consoles dont offer or the fact we have mods which will never make it to consoles.
In the end i think its childish to compare sa...
@Khajit86
Exactly, the density on the PC version is amazing. I picked up a bike for traveling around. Its insane how many cars etc you need to dodge when traveling at high speeds on bike.
To spice it up i loaded up custom music on the game. Loaded up "Bad to the Bone" from the terminator 2, having that music on the radio while riding a bike is insane lol. Specially if you play the game with Mouse keyboard, shooting from a bike with a mouse can be cr...
Well its still selling like a hot cake on the PC, and the beauty of it is that it will keep selling for years to come. Specially with all the mods rolling out. The game just wont die.
I was playing the PC version last night, the game is simply amazing. PC version selling 2 million after being released last says the platform is very healthy.
PC gaming has made an amazing comeback in the last 5 years.
@Genuine-User
Sorry dude but that just blind bias, PC version released last, anyone who had to play the game bought it on the last consoles. Yet its easily going toe to toe against the next gen consoles.
Also a...
@Svinya
Yes you can connect additional hard drives via the USB port, however transferring data across the USB port is dead slow and cumbersome. Specially if its anything like 40-50GB of a game. Its going to take forver from an external hard drive.
