Problem is that you're using minimum wage - average wage is a better figure to use.

US: $41,673.83
UK: £25,543.00

That's a 60% difference. On top of that, hardware and games are cheaper in the US.

Of course, you have additional living expenses, but the argument regarding salary doesn't hold.

There's a difference between references to the expansion and the expansion being half on the disc. The first is the result of planning, the second is the result of unfinished content - both could easily be used as defense.

"there were already hints for it in the Mass Effect 3 disc, suggesting that this mission was meant to be featured in the ME3 game"

No, that's called planning.

Ugh.. Why not PC too?

Guess I'll have to wait longer - though to be fair, haven't had the chance to play the other expansion yet.

They mainly changed the location of the navigation bar and the color scheme..

Wow, they're starting early this time. Guess some journalists want the head start.

"It'll be interesting to see how Sony plans on going about this case."

According to the statement, it's a breach of contract. If that's the actually the case, then it won't be very interesting at all, as it'll result in a clear win for Sony. But again, that depends on if the contract actually mentions it.

4245d ago 5 agree2 disagreeView comment

If it's a breach of contract than that is fair enough. Any breach of contract should be treated as such, and I don't understand why people are hating on Sony for defending their trademarks (you know, the things they are legally entitled to)

And even that's a rumor, not a confirmed fact.

Articles like this one are mind boggling. They misinterpret the information published by another source, and then ignore the fact that it's a rumor.

Also PirateThom, he may be the CEO of the company, but suing the company is very different from suing the actor himself.

"doesn't matter if she consented or not"

So the only thing that matters is what you think? Not what she thinks?

4245d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Offending someone is not illegal, or even bad.

Besides, who are you to say that those girls were offended if they gave their consent? Why do you feel the need to be a white knight that comes to their rescue?

And yes, this guy does do the same for random passers by. He's deliberately being awkward, which is kinda the point of his videos.

That's a fine line to cross - You want money people, but you want money people who know what they're talking about creatively as well. Someone fresh out of business school does not go hand-in-hand with someone who has been working creatively for years.

4246d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

That's because White Knights are sexist lol. They treat women as if they are weak, and in need of defense.

4246d ago 4 agree1 disagreeView comment

Wouldn't him respecting the women be sexist? Considering he doesn't respect the guys either?

It's not a porn convention, but that doesn't mean you can't ask such questions to them. There is a word women are very used to using - it's called "No", and these girls didn't use it.

4246d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

It's rude, but not sexual assault. The girls agree with him doing those things - remember he asks them if they're okay with it - so it is a far cry from sexual harassment or assault.

And let's be honest, he doesn't exclusively do this to the women there either. He's equally as rude to the men.

What's the difference between buying a used car or stealing it besides the moral? The car manufacturer doesn't get any money either way.

That's kind of the problem. Yes, I have done it, as has everyone else, and I have no problems with admitting it. The difference is that I feel guilty about having done it, unlike the people who try to justify that act.

And yes, I should have had the risk of being prosecuted like any other criminal or thief while committing those acts of pi...

"Making a copy for your own use, without distribution, should be a misdemeanor at worst."

The product was made by someone. That someone is selling it. You are acquiring it without paying them, and without their permission. On top of that, you're depriving the owner of the monetary value attached to that product.

That's pretty close to the definition of theft - The wrongful taking of personal goods or property.

Theft is a serious offense. Perhaps not as serious as rape and murder, but still not to be taken lightly.

There's plenty of people in jail for a crime that shouldn't have gotten them there, but I don't believe that Piracy is one of them.
