@LordDhampire I'm guessing you're talking in dollars?

I'm English so US prices don't compare to UK prices.

And I wish a 780 was the equivalent of $300 here.

A 780 here in the UK is £340 ($583). A R9 290x here is £370 ($634).

I have £150-160 to spent on a graphics card so I'm looking to get the best bang for the buck and that's the 760.

Edit- Disagrees on my first commen...

We already have Halo 1 & 2 and Gears of War. Just not their sequels. We are getting Dead Rising 3 and many other so-called console exclusives.

Xbox gamers will never get H1Z1 either. PS4 gamers will probably get it in the future but atm it's PC exclusive as it hasn't been officially announced for PS4 yet.

I'm currently playing the best co-op turn based RPG, Divinity Original Sin, on PC. It may come to consoles but nothing is announced yet.

I will be upgrading to the geforce 760 in the next few weeks.

Won't need another card then for the next 3-5 years.

My current card the geforce 460 has lasted for 5 years and can still play most games at med/high.

It's impossible for MS to have sold 5 million console to consumers.

They've only shipped 5 million to retailers so they can't sell more than they have shipped unless they are off the back of a lorry :)

Sales of consoles is kind of important for gamers as this determines how much support each console gets from publishers.

I mean look at the WiiU small sales and draconian policies and they get zero support from 3rd party publishers...

They don't need to win it every year. EA have the lifetime achievement award for Worst Company in the World :)

I think that's the problem. Ubisoft have got too big for purpose.

In other words it's not a good thing to have massive teams of developers on each game as communication breaks down and things get missed or forgotten.

Their excuse for not adding female characters in AC Unity is just complete BS.

The Watch Dogs delay shouldn't have happened and I think something went wrong in management for the delay to happen.

What does Hawken have to do with Crytek?

Adhesive Games developed Hawken and Meteor Entertainment published it.

It is also on the Unreal Engine.

No it's PC only atm.

It hasn't even been announced officially for PS4 yet.

I do expect it to be on PS4 but maybe in a year or 2.

@MysticStrummer
Not necessarily. It is SOE creating both games on the Forgelight engine but PS2 and H1Z1 have seperate teams working on them.

I think H1Z1 has only about 20+ people working on it atm.

3610d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Don't play it then :)

It'll be at least a year or 2 before it comes to PS4 anyway :)

SOE have said they'll be finishing the PC version first before they think about porting it over to PS4.

DayZ isn't an MMO unless you think 50+ on a server is an MMO :P

3610d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

SOE are primarily PC developers.

Think about how long Planetside 2 has taken for the PS4 version.

H1Z1 will probably just take as long if not longer as it's still in pre alpha state when it arrives on PC via steam Early Access.

The game is a PC exclusive till they officially announce the PS4 version.

That's exactly how I felt about Halo 1 & 2 :)

3610d ago 2 agree6 disagreeView comment

The developers are called Giant Squid and the game is coming to PC and PS4 in 2016.

So it's a console exclusive not a full exclusive.

3611d ago 3 agree3 disagreeView comment

That's not going to happen.

PC games accounted for 25% of total sales in Q4 2013 for Ubisoft higher than X360 and PS3.

Even though Ubisoft treat PC gamers with contempt we still keep buying their games :P

I think 1st party exclusives are fine as both consoles need their AAA exclusive game but I think that 3rd party exclusives are a blight on the industry.

There is no reason to lock down a game which comes from 3rd parties to one console other than lack of 1st party exclusives. Timed exclusives are just as bad as well as timed or exclusive DLC.

Both console owners do it. I just don't see the point apart from pissing off customers that don't have access ...

Unless Destiny is a MMOFPS with battles raging 24/7 with 100s of players fighting it out on 3 massive maps then no it won't "fall of the planet".

For all you know Destiny could be the one falling and not PS2.

And I have played PS2 on PC for several months in beta and after it launched. Great game but you definitely need the support of an outfit to do well.

3612d ago 9 agree4 disagreeView comment

Well H1Z1 is coming to PC first and it's still in pre alpha on PC.

It'll be on Steam Early Access in the next few weeks as an alpha build.

SOE haven't even thought about PS4 yet just that it will come to PS4 in time after PC version is completed.

I'm saying never for now on PC. It's up to Bungie to change my mind to maybe.

It says a lot when they decided to put the effort into making the old gen console versions which won't last another 2-3 years never mind 10 years which is Bungies timescale for Destiny and not the PC version.

But it's their money to waste on old consoles.

@tuglu_pati It has nothing to do with the capacity of the hardware.

It just means you are able to code straight to the GPU or CPU (the metal) or as close as they can without any software getting in the way. It's just low level programming.

PCs have always had MS bloatware, Windows and Direct X decreasing performance of the hardware and this is what Direct X 12 is trying to rectify.
