These analyst firms are so weird and off in their predictions.
It's probably because most of them don't understand the gaming industry.
"Mindless fun" is not an excuse for horrible game design and neither should "Game Pass" be an excuse after almost 5 years of edacious expectations and what people thought the game was going to be for Xbox.
People want shit to play on a platform they invest time and money into, and anything will be played enough if it's hyped up enough especially on a platform that is lacking in good platform-defining shit to play, especially if it's more than che...

This along with the Wuying Ren screenshot is so wonderful to see.
The game has continued to shape up beautifully every time they show new stuff. Looks like waiting until the gameplay is at a standard to which they are ready to show it has worked out well for them and the marketing cycle. EDGE magazine already very positive about what they're seeing of the gameplay and MAGIC Monaco will kick off the official marketing of the game leading up to August 29th release.

You believe they're in danger of closure, but you aren't considering the facts.
1) LBP revenue has allowed Media Molecule to remain a profitable studio without having released a game in years. They are probably Sony's smallest studio with around 50 people (at its peak). Dreams is also not the kind of production that would amass the kind of budget that say Detroit or God of War or TLoU would amount to.

The guy who worked on Killzone 2 (the best Killzone game and best KZ MP), is back at Guerrilla. The only things I want or expect is a KZ2 4K/60fps remaster, or better... a new FPS game that goes back to that standard of quality.

Sony doesn't mandate third-party publishers to not build cross-play into platforms like Xbox and PC though.

Avalanche Software, perhaps? Warner Bros acquired this studio from Disney and re-opened it to make games for them. Monolith makes Middle-Earth. Rocksteady makes Batman/DC. Their last big IP I think is Harry Potter, and I guess it makes sense. It looks really good.
"Magic Awakened" sounds so corny though... and if Harry is in the name, then I expect Harry to be in the game.
