The evolution of Grand Theft Auto in a quick video. GTA: London 1969 and 1961 not included because those were expansion packs. GTA: VCS and GTA: LCS not included because those weren't the main GTAs and were spin-offs.
Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."
Just about every year in the 7th generation was great and something we most likely won't experience again.
2009 for example had Assassin's Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Uncharted 2, Halo 3: ODST, Killzone 2, Borderlands, Bayonetta, and Demon's Souls to name a few.
As is they're coins down a sofa, some announced games seem to just disappear. So just where are these missing VR games?
For GTA SA
Meta made a lot of budget cuts and cancelled a fair few exclusive game contracts we don't know if this was cancelled but it's possible and this was announced prior to the release of GTA definitive edition which was slammed and eventually moved to be supported in house by Rockstar.
Since then we have just gotten the mobile versions a d they are actually the best way to play the definitive edition unfortunately the consoles never got a retrospective patch to implement the improvements they made in the mobile games.
But for VR we know a VR mode was found in the definitive editions game files thanks to data miners so seeming it was meant to be using the definitive edition as a base given its ue4 that makes sense. And the mode is there right now (some Polish may be required still) I would assume this is ready to go but meta got cold feet and cancelled it given the games reputation.
I do hope Rockstar forge ahead and still just launch it anyway on psvr2 as it's a game I've loved since day 1 on PS2 I'll even tolerate the de version to get it in VR
Like the film or television industry, the world of gaming has seen its fair share of reboots over the years. While some of these video game reboots have had
the first one for Playstation. It was the only game I had ever seen with a "parental advisory" on it.I think its still the only game with it.Maybe the rating system was implemented because of GTA.I loved the soundtrack for it, it was all underground stuff. The funniest thing about it was it had a burp/fart button. That never got old.The game was amazing all around.I really wish they would put it on PSN as a PSone classic.I would buy it in a second.
(edit)
The song in the video is awesome and brings back so many memories of the original.God I want that game again.
GTA3 brought the franchise into the spotlight, but GTA4 will make this game as big as the halo franchise if the online multiplayer is a success
God, I can't wait for the days, people will be strolling into the store asking
Customer: "Can I have GTA IV for the PS2"
Me:Unfortunately, the game is only avail. on Ps3 or 360.
Customer: Pause
Me: Anything else?
Customer: I saw it at wal-mart on the PS2.
Me: (Pause,) Why didn't you buy it there?
Customer: They were sold out, So you're sold out on the PS2 too?
Me:.............yes.
Customer: You have mario for PSP?
GTA2 will always be my fave GTA. God, I really loved that game. GTA3 was also incredibly awesome and fun when it was first released but later the games didn't really evolve. Hopefully GTA4 is the evolution (and IMO the revamp the series needs).
Bring GTA IV on!
