1UP writes: "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky is a game that misses the point on two fronts. On one hand, it's a Mystery Dungeon game that fails to create the tension of a roguelike. Outside of a handful of boss battles and optional special dungeons, you're rarely in jeopardy -- and even when you do lose, the penalties are fairly light. On the other hand, it fails to capture the appeal of the core Pokémon games, which is about winning battles by relying on the teamwork of your adorable animal slaves. Here you play as a Pokémon and build a team of (potentially) hundreds of others, but the action all happens at something of a remove, and you only have direct control over your protagonist. The overall effect is that you feel more like an observer to the action than a participant."
The future could be filled with revived Nintendo DS classics. Hopefully it happens!
My kid yesterday proclaimed he liked the DS more than the Switch because the controls work on the go. Then I asked if he would rather have Monster Hunter Stories 2 on Steam or Switch and he chose Steam. So proud!
Matt Jay: "There are many ways in which my brain and personality resemble that of a child, but moreso than any is the way I love the things I love. If something manages to capture the attention of my cold and cynical heart for more than a second, there must be something special about it. This happens so rarely that when I truly enjoy something, I just go whole hog. I’ll snatch up the merchandise, play all the games in its canon and wear my love for it proudly on a t-shirt for the world to see. No franchise in history has been more able to engulf my life in this way than Pokemon."
Craig Hasselback writes: "This week's cosplay babe of the week was a toughy. She's associated with one of the most popular video game franchises in the history of gaming, but more for the merchandising and cartoons than being a gym leader in red and blue. The moment we see Misty, we instantly say "gotta catch 'em all".
So of course this week's cosplay babe of the week is the cute and adorable Misty from the world of Pokemon - the unimaginably popular video game franchise from Nintendo that started on the Game Boy and has graced every piece of Nintendo hardware since, as well as spawned countless pieces of collectible merchandise, cartoons, movies and more. Pokemon shows the influence that a game can have on the public and the staying power as well. "
WHOA!!! Misty never had knockers like that. lol Sorry if I offended anyone, but that err "stand out". Like she's smuggling a couple Pokeballs in there. HA!
all of us in college are getting back in the pokemon craze with hgss and we talked about how we missed the old series.
and a course misty, Ann Chovy.
I hope the guys at GoFanboys are allowed to publish the photos. It doesn't look like that they have done all the photos by themselves.
