Aside from obligatory talk about the storyline and the genre in which Jumpgate Evolution is situated (space mmo for all you non-MMO people out there), 9lives also went a little deeper into the game with its producer, Hermann Peterscheck.
First of all, they discussed what prior knowledge the developers used to make Jumpgate Evolution a better game. Peterscheck said that the game needed to be accessible (easy-to-play and reasonable specs), fun (lots of different things to do) and attractive (good graphics, effects and sounds). However, he believes less equals more. It is better to have fewer, but better polished features is the way to go.
When talking about the game itself, he revealed that stealth – even though it has been talked about a lot – is not part of the game… yet. "There has to be an elaborate evaluation of pros and cons before such a system can be implemented without frustration for either party".
