Konami Fired Up, Then Let Down The Internet With Silent Hill 2 Hype

When it comes to bubbling Silent Hill 2 hype, when talking about a remake or reboot, Konami probably shouldn't fuel the fire. At least the company shouldn't do it unless they have something they'd like to let us know.

If anything Konami could be releasing SH2 to say PS4 and XB1 they'd be nuts to pass on a remake of SH2 since the RE2 that Capcom made did so well.

Maybe there's tricky legal stuff being dealt with, but teasing like this online makes me feel like they're excited and eager to spill the beans about something...hope so!

Konami has killed Silent Hill. It's been a dead franchise for years. Never get hyped for ANY silent hill news because it always ends in tears. Unless team silent get back together and make a game that is the only reason to get hyped. PT would have been a great game but it would have been a bad silent hill game, no one "gets it" like the original teams and even worse some people think kojima created the series 🤦🏻‍♂️ I know most people don't care about the details but as a huge fan of the originals I've accepted that we will never get that original magic back.

Konami tried to screw over the voice actors. Shame, as Guy Cihi's performance is amazing, and he was only really an amateur at the time.

As much as I'd love to play a legitimate remaster, I think the PS2 game is lightning in a bottle.

Hmm, I thought that they said that if anything happens it will be announced on an event of some kind or their social media.

So maybe announcement is gonna make Sony themself on their next event as an upcoming exclusive.

Doubt it. Horror games don't sell a lot to begin with. Making it exclusive to one console would be a death sentence.

If they make new Silent hill, with some sort open meroidvania two world, where there is this thing hunting you down like alien isolation? Like you can't really see it. You think you are mad, environment is changing, phone rings .daddy...your eye bleeds, a cockroach goes into your hand ...and than the siren.

Silent Hill hasn’t been relevant since the 3 rd game so why is everyone so Hyped? The last couple games have been trash and until Konami proves to me that they can do it justice I’ll hold off on being hyped.
