The author is also lying about the amount of critisism MS received over the Master Chief collection. Just about everyone is excited to not only get the H2 remake, but the other games packed in as well.

The only thing I can agree with is launching an obvious cash grab at what is really Sony's most disappointing year since 2007 with a port of a last gen game being the highlight for it's exclusives. It's simply not what we've come to expect from Sony, especially with how epic 2013 was.

It really isn't much different than multi platform games being released on last gen and next gen. The fact that it is less than a year old seems to make more sense to me. It is estimated that nearly half of the people that purchased the PS4 did not own a PS3, that is a new audience for the game. $49.00 for the game with $30.00 of DLC and commentary, much nicer frame rate and big improvement in graphics seems like a pretty good deal, especially if you haven't played it before.
Plus I would rather buy a physical copy of a game, especially this game considering it is highly rated and has won more awards than any other game.

Personally your problem with this game seams kinda silly, Sony is mostly catering to a audience that has not played the game and people that want the better graphics and most of all better frame rate. Sony did not set out to insult anyone, them releasing TLOU on PS4 should not be taken as an insult by anyone, It's really just an option for people that bought a PS4. Sony is not forcing anyone to buy the game.

Exactly. I loved this game, and I don't want to turn on my ps3 again. This and gtav are the only 2 games I still feel compelled to play on my ps3. I bought this day one and don't regret it for a second. The screenshots don't do the upgrade justice. It does look like a next gen game. Everything about it just feels better, and I'm enjoying it more now than I ever have. If you don't think it's worth it, I disagree with you. BUT I still respect your opinion, and I can completely understand where you're coming from. What I'm tired of is seeing people talk about this thing like it's awful. The ocarina of time has been remade 3 times now, and has been on 4 consecutive systems. Windwaker has been on 2, and majora's mask has been on 3 consecutive system, and yet I don't see any complaining about those ones. Which there shouldn't be, but it's kind of a double standard if you ask me.

I brought it for the PS3 originally but never really got that deep into it, so the fact that they are letting people get it for half price if you own the original and trade it in and plus includes DLC, I don't see what the fuss is all about.

If you played it and finished it on the PS3 version, then I see no need....but if you haven't or never even completed 5-10% of game like I did....hell yeah, why not upgrade especially if you have the PS3 copy and you can trade it in for 50% off.

I own both GTA V and TLOU on PS3 and I think GTA V desperately needs a next-gen version more because the framerate is so bad. The PS3 version of TLOU has its drops but overall the game runs fairly well and the gameplay is designed around the hardware limitations of the PS3. Its worst framerate drops were usually not in combat so they were inconsequential; GTA V on the other hand at times becomes very difficult to play when the framerate drops into the low 20s.

The improved framerate and resolution is great but I didn't feel the package overall offered enough to justify buying it a second time. Supposedly close to half of current PS4 owners didn't have a PS3 though so this package is great for people like that.

Regardless of the quality of the game the fact is that little to no significant new content was added, it was released at full retail price and its a re-release of something that is barely even a year old. The majority of people who played this JUST played it and so for a lot of them its pointless to pay another $50 when there is NO new single player content, no additions to the gameplay or controls, no significant additions to the multiplayer like a co-op mode or a new game type. Sure all the people who didn't have PS3s don't care and don't understand, and this re-release is great for them because its the best version of something they haven't played. I get that, but this still could've been handled a lot better.

They should have done a better job considering the many people who did already support it and are responsible for giving it the popularity to even justify a re-release in the first place. The game came out so recently that it would not have been a problem to develop this "remastered" version another year and add a mini single player campaign, a co-op feature, something to give the fans of this game a reason to come back. Especially considering they didn't offer any kind of trade in or discount program for the people that JUST bought this game.

I don't think game developers should be re-releasing games they released a year or less ago, its just too soon. Especially since there were no real additions or changes. Someone who paid $59.99 for the game on PS3 then $19.99 for the Season Pass shouldn't have to pay another $50 to get EXACTLY the same content they already with a higher frame rate.

Remake games that aren't so new, that could truly benefit from graphics upgrades and control tweaks. And if not that, at least add some REAL content.

Really? I didn't own a PS3 last generation, so after playing the Last of Us on my PS4, I can say that I for one am grateful that the Remastered edition exists, otherwise I never would've gotten the chance to pick it up. And guess what? There are a lot of people just like me who didn't get a chance to play it last gen. We are the people that the Remastered edition targets, not people like you who just played it a year ago and likely still own it on the PS3.

It seems his argument is just that the game got labeled as 'remastered' when they didn't really do more than bump it up graphically and throw it on a system without any competition..

To ME- I personally only spring to buy a second copy of a game on a new system a few years after I've played it. Nostalgia hasn't set in yet. It's very soon for it to have hit shelves.

That being said, I have no desire to play it…..Yet.

I'm sure I'll pick it up in a few years, and by then, allow myself to be hooked on the new level of detail from what exists in my memory. Looking forward to it!

There were some things in the PS3 version that bothered me. The really low texture filtering and texture pop-in. In some scenes, the textures wouldn't even load or take forever to load. The PS4 version doesn't have these problems, plus it has an upgraded frame rate that further enhances the beauty of this game.
