The simulation and serious games studio RealTime Immersive Inc. will show us what next-gen military sim could look like in CRYENGINE. This is an example of a US Navy Virtual Ship developed in Virtual Attain CryENGINE.
"It is gonna be a long technical road" to update Hunt's version of CryEngine.
If anyone can upgrade the engine then Crytek can. Good news anyway. Hunt looks pretty awesome anyway, but with UE5 a thing now Cryengine beginning to look dated perhaps?
LifelessTapir has released a free game in which he basically recreated the entire Isla Nublar island from Jurassic Park in CRYENGINE.
It's Cryengine free you say? Great news, sick of all that cryengine in my dinosaur games.
Crytek has announced that CRYENGINE 5.6 is available now for all game developers. According to the team, this major new release includes over 1,000 changes to the engine.

First thing I thought was "Arma 3 released not even a year ago as a PC exclusive. It is next gen!"
Then I remembered they thought it was a fantastic idea to use the same extremley unoptomized engine from 7 years ago...
I really was looking forward to this game but they should have started from the ground up on it. I wouldn't have minded waiting an extra year or two for that to happen.
that looks like an aircraft carrier sim. very impressive though!
So how easy it to develop using Cryengine? I see alot independent dev projects popping up using it.
It's a great engine, wonder if it will overtake unreal engine's popularity
