The Call of Duty franchise may be in a steady decline. According to at least one analyst, sales for the Call of Duty series is slowly but surely slowing down. This latest news has been derived from the sales of the last three Call of Duty titles, Black Ops 2, Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops. All three of these titles have shown a reasonable decrease in total purchases and predictions are showing the latest title, Black Ops 2, is also following suit.
The primary change other than story is the weapons and the perks. How long can a series last on weapons and perks?
But on a serious note, even a decrease still means its selling a shit ton and making a lot of money.
After that issue with Activision many of the minds behind the great CODS (1,2,4) left, according to those who who payed attention at the various times they occurred.
and this is the last COD im buying seriously...
My only dislike of blops2 is that some of the futuristic elements come off as a bit naff (like the VTOL flybys between mission, remind me of the original cnc/ra win cutscenes lol a bit out of sink with the rest of the game for 2012 AAA title.) the rts style missions are a hash and the snipers and pistols in mp are unbalanced in comparison to other weapons tears(nice to see the shotties and gunners get some love tho)
Vehical rush spoiled battlefield for me.
