My XBL: "Firebase Industries have announced Arcadecraft. A new management style simulator that is making its way to XBLA. I have to admit, when I first saw the title and the images (below) I thought it was another attempt at the ‘Game Room’ microsoft had a couple of years back (a good idea done wrong IMO), but looking into it, I can see it’s more than that and a lot better than that. You play as your avatar running a gaming arcade, you will need to purchase various gaming cabinets to attract and gain customer loyalty while managing prices and difficulties of the machines to gain regulars."
Time for another Big Show! Phil Fogg and Tom Towers waste 3 hours discussing the pitfalls of procedural generation, other podcasts, The Road (The Last of US), innuendo and cockney rhyming slang.
A few games might even be discussed, too: Sir, You Are Being Hunted, Arcadecraft, Shovel Knight, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, and the one we've all been waiting for: Future Cop L.A.P.D.
GamesAsylum: "The fact that the greatest Xbox Indie games are buried under tat like Baby Maker Extreme and Dont B Nervous Talking 2 Girls [sic] makes their discovery seem all that more special.
Some damning praise for the way Microsoft manages the service, there. Perhaps we should be glad that Microsoft has never really shown any interest in capitalising on the Xbox 360′s indie service. That said, it wouldn’t be an entirely bad thing – those deserving of more than just a postage-stamp sized advert on the dashboard may have ended up receiving a bit more press coverage.
To make finding those elusive hidden gems easier, we’ve rounded-up five of the best"
Twinfinite sits down with Trivia or Die! creator Kris Steele to discuss indie games, the Ouya and more.
