John Smedley, the President of Sony Online Entertainment for the last 10 years, has revealed that the in-house developer has some big new IPs in the works – and has also apologised for the much-criticized changes made to popular MMO Star Wars Galaxies.
Both John Smedley's and Anthem's Twitter accounts light up with possible E3 2018 teasers hinting at new incoming details.
When John Smedley was asked about what he thought about the health of the game industry, he was purely positive about the industry’s current status right now. With new jobs becoming available for those who wants to work in the industry, “it’s healthier than it’s ever been” according to John.
John Smedley has had a storied career in games, including the creation of EverQuest, the growth of Sony Online Entertainment, and the spinout of Daybreak Games as an operator of games like the zombie apocalypse online game H1Z1. He even tried a stint as an indie game developer, reliant on Kickstarter funding.
Can't wait to see what they have coming out next.
