Mass Effect 4 or New Mass Effect?
We do, however, have a few details about where the creators may intend to take the franchise.
First, the only concrete information we have is that the game will run on the Frostbite 3 engine, so it’ll likely only be for next gen consoles. (Actually, the Xbox 360 and PS3 might be able to run it, but definitely not the WiiU). Second, the new game will definitely not be about Shepard. Bioware has constantly stated that ME3 was Shepard’s final tale very forcibly on both their forums and in interviews. Shepard’s story is over. Casey Hudson has publicly stated that not only will the next game not feature Shepard, but it will in no way imitate him/her whatsoever:

The Mass Effect N7 Day teaser has already been decoded, and it features Liara T'Soni talking about The Council, and The Geth can be heard too.
Better not bring back Shepherd from the dead with some half assed space magic.
If you get your readiness level high enough in Mass Effect 3, *spoilers* you can see Shepard taking in a breath of air under some rubble. It would depend on whichever ending is canon.

Yeah I saw that at the end of my play through as well. I think they will bring Shepard back….. or at least a mutant version turned villain. Lol
It won't be out until 2015 at the earliest. They'll want Inquisition out of the door first.
I'm really looking forward to seeing the first trailer for the next Mass Effect, whether it's simply a cinematic or it features gameplay. Bioware's trailers for Mass Effect and The Old Republic are some of the best in the industry. ME4 will hopefully bring us more exploration, similar to the design of the first ME1.
These aren't "rumors," they're the authors interpretations and, basically, guesses into the franchise's future. This shouldn't be under the News category, really.
Clearly the person who wrote this article didn't do there research about the Wii U. EA has already confirmed Frostbite 3 can work on the Wii U.

So Mass Effect 4 COULD come to the Wii U once there is enough of a user base. Since this game wont be out till at LEAST 2015 it could very well have the user base warranted for its release on the console. Once again trying to count the Wii U out as Next Gen Hardware.
OT: Loved the original story (sure, not the ending I may have wanted) but I can't wait for the release of this. I can't wait till details start pouring out about the story and where its going.
