Borderlands 2 Review (FMV Magazine)

"Borderlands 2 takes what made the original great and improves on it in almost every way – especially with its narrative and humor. More class skills and visual customization would have been nice, as well as more variety in the vehicle missions, but you will laugh your ass off while shooting and looting your way though this fantastic game."

Thing is, I just dont know if I can be bothered to play a game for 30+ hours. FPS games tend to get boring long before that.

I played the original for a total of about 50-60 hours I think, including DLC. Trust me, the Borderlands universe is so compelling it's not true. Huge open maps, masses of side-missions and things to do, and so much more expansive and varied than your run-of-the-mill FPS. It's essentially a shooter take on Diablo - with all of the RPG addictiveness and a lot more action, humour, and colour.

I know hearing from others saying that the game takes like 30-40 hrs to complete can be a turn off but really, time really does fly by with this game. Don't let the average time to beat the game fool you, it's fun from beginning to end. There are other games in that length that bore me after awhile too but Borderlands 2 is an exception.

Very fun and Handsome Jack is a great villain.

This game needs level scaling for the enemies in single player, it's boring when areas are tapped out and you get 1xp per kill but you still have to plow through the same bandit spawn points to get to side missions and such. Co-op is the way to go, once you start to get toward the end of available misions for a particular area in SP it's way too easy, in co-op it's a lot harder therefore a lot more fun.

I was thinking of Mad Max. That V8 felt really good to drive around in, especially with upgrades.

No one liked the Batmobile in Arkham Knight. Top 10?

I don't know... It was a strange addition to the game, and the parts of the game where you had to fight in it were tedious. But driving it around Gotham felt brilliant.
