Talked alot? Continued the Xbox tradition of big promises that rarely pan out? Turned the brand into a GaaS platform? Just more propaganda. Is there any journalist left that is unwilling to trade their integrity for access and/or checks?
Sheesh, guess gamespot have given up on even pretending to be objective at this point. I know it's an op-ed, but you'd think they'd at least try to appear independent. Gotta pay the bills though I guess.
I've been playing it on PC for a few weeks, and loving it. I really don't understand all of the negativity. The story is fantastic, the visuals, art direction, music, are all fantastic, even the gameplay is a lot of fun. The last gen console versions must have been REALLY bad, lol. I remember games like Skyrim were (and to some extent, still are) a buggy mess upon release, but never received a fraction of the scrutiny this game is getting. I feel like I'm living in bizarro world, ...
Looks infinitely more creative and compelling than most full price games we get these days. Doesn't hurt that the visuals are gorgeous either. I'll take this over another run of the mill FPS or giant, generic open world game. At least they're doing something different, doesn't hurt that the visuals are gorgeous either.
Looks pretty awesome. Kinda flew under my radar for a long time, but the more I see of it, the more hyped I become. Generally not a fan of shooters in general, but I'm always a sucker for something unique or different, just looks crazy and fun.
Maybe I'm alone in this, but playing it now on pc, and absolutely love it. Writing, characterization, and art direction are all top notch. Nothing I do in the game world is boring.
@rakentaja All of that waiting didn't seem to make a bit of difference. When you have zero games, and your entire marketing strategy was "muh tflops", it's kinda embarrassing to be routinely outperformed by your "less powerful" competition, lol.
@kayoss Yeah, I almost did that, because I'm sorry, but it's just easier to get an Xbox, still really tough though. Then I remembered what the last few gens were like, so I waited, and I'm glad I did. Really impressed with the PS5, and can't wait to see the magic their first party devs do with it. Seems to be outperforming the competition even in 3rd party games as well. In retrospect, it was crazy to even consider an Xbox.
