Recently finished CS4, and am sad that I have no more English translated LoH games to play...
Glad to see more console gamers recognizing the massive benefit that comes from boosting from 30fps to 60fps.
Druckmann is incredibly talented, just wish he'd leave his activism at the door.
@logicwins "I really hope Microsoft still allows this franchise on Playstation if they end up acquiring Sega." lol. Xbox fans are nothing if not hopeful.
Yeah, it just drops a frame or two in worst case scenario.
It's kinda embarrassing to talk about, but I have it as well. For me though, Jrpgs let me get lost in their world, almost therapeutic to play them.
Haven't played it yet, but really looking forward to it. Gonna wait for the next gen patch though. I figure most of the issues will be ironed out by then. Underneath the problems, it seems like a great game that was perhaps a victim of its own ambition. And to the angry mob, no, I'm not justifying the launch issues.
I have yet to play the game, and while CDPR obviously dropped the ball with the launch, I'm still really excited to play the next gen patched version on my PS5 whenever it comes out. I know you're not supposed to say anything positive about this game these days, but it looks incredibly ambitious, and from everything I've seen, the writing and storytelling seems to be every bit as good as it was in Witcher 3, and for me personally, that's more than enough to warrant a purchase....
Not really, the point is, the demand for the PS5 is far higher than the supply. There are likely millions that want one but have been unable to get one. Furthermore, it's not as if it's just not available in stores, you can't buy it anywhere.
Yeah, took me a month and a half and a fair amount of luck to get a PS5. At least a dozen times I clicked refresh on a retail website at the moment a shipment was supposed to be available, and the the "Will Be Available at X Time" message changed to "Sold Out".
Persona 5 Royal was one of my favorite games of all time, you could put the Persona name on basically anything, and I'll buy it at this point.
There's a fairly large community of semi-casual gamers who mostly play Madden, Call of Duty, Fortnite, etc. MS lucked out when Sony dropped the ball at the launch of the PS3, and have amassed a sizeable group of these gamer types who now stick with them because that's where their friends are. I have friends like this, and that's what they straight out tell me. If Sony hadn't botched their PS3 launch allowing Xbox to establish that foothold, I think they'd be in an even muc...
Anyone know if english dubs will be in this one? I know this is heresy among the jrpg community, but I prefer it.
The graphics and the gameplay were phenomenal, everything else was kinda meh tbh, forgettable characters, story had an intriguing premise, but was poorly executed IMO. That being said, I was glued to the game from start to finish because it was just so damn fun.
It is a beautiful game.
I think most of the hate they receive is because they essentially make the same game every time with a fresh coat of paint. The Ubisoft formula has become pretty stale IMO. Big and pretty open world game, with a new story and new characters. Tons of padding. Forgettable story and characters. Variations on done to death gameplay mechanics. Etc. But hey, at least the visuals are usually pretty good. Like EA, they tend to favor the "big budget, but generic" route.
Reasonable for new hardware, but less so when you factor in the fact that you can get a great 1tb m.2 for under $100 currently, and that consoles will be leading the way with SSD optimization. Furthermore, synthetics should always be taken with a grain of salt.
So...for $100 less than the PS5, you can get a mobo and SSD that "blows away" the PS5's SSD? Cool? I guess? As a PC gamer, I'd be dishonest if I said that specs amounted to much of anything without developer incentive to take advantage of said specs. Consoles will lead the way going forward in games taking advantage of SSDs. Comparing spec sheets without factoring in price and value proposition seems pointless and impractical, especially considering it's rather myopic, c...
So, for $100 less than the price of a PS5 you can get an SSD and mobo that "blows away" the PS5 SSD's 5.5gb/s @ 7gb/s...cool? I guess? This comparison seems kind of pointless and impractical.
