I could see a concern if they didn't have the power in the device to play great games and exclusive content.
But, as long as the keep great third party support and keep the exclusives rolling I will be fine.
Uncharted is one of the most innovative games this gen. It caused Crystal Dynamics to completely rethink Tomb Raider.

MS is consistent. they never confirm nor deny rumors. when they reveal the next xbox we will know what it does. all the rumors and talk by peons is just that... Rumors and talk.
PS: We have already heard the Watch Dogs, Assassins Creed, and Destiny our always on games... Why would a console always on be an issue then?
I never said to Xbox was an always on device. I pointed out that the advantages of having an xbox are when it is connected to a network.
Outside of exclusive games that all platforms have the advantages to each device is the network and services that are available through it.
I went to an airport, connected my vita to the wifi, and it flagged a bunch of games as needing an update before I could play them. the airport wifi went down, and I couldn't play any of the games I wanted to because they were flagged for an update.
Switched to my 3DS for that trip.
Just went to florida, and the day before my trip I spent four hours updating my games before the trip. kind of made bringing the vita useless.
I just don't understand what the big deal is about having to be offline.
I have a PS Vita and it is pretty much useless without an internet connection. Before every trip I have to log into it and do all updates to all games to use it offline because if it connects to any network it flags updates before you can play games.
Today, XBLA and GoD games are useless without an internet connection.

Given that Microsoft has not made any announcements about the next Xbox, I don't see how the PS4 can be failing in comparison.
It is impossible to know anything for any level of certainty about the next Xbox given that the rumours are often contradicting each other. One day it has Blu-ray, the next it does not, etc.
In my home entertainment area I have a Blu-ray player, satellite tv receiver, Colecovision, Atari 2600, Intellivision, Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3.
If PS4 or X720 is not backward compatible I probably won't buy them.
This is not about "growing up". This is about a device cabling and management nightmare!
The big thing is that because both devices are using the same core hardware family, the coding styles and the intricacies of the hardware only have to be learned once.
It is much easier to be disciplined and manage code branches then to have to deal with intricacies of Cell vs. AMD, etc. Managing code is about procedure and discipline, learning hardware is about deep, specialized understanding.
I hope that Ryse is not Kinect only then. Looks like a solid title, but I am not a huge fan of Kinect for core games.
