well this is good news for xbox 360 owners.Though i am amazed it took Nintendo this long to lose its ground; i mean i must admit i was always under the impression the wii wouldnt last this long.
Now japan is where Nintendo will maintain its market lead for sure and Europe is where Sony will hold its own.
Interesting how the console wars have developed over the years.
Personally prefer exclusive new ips, but i don't mind ports just as long as they are well done and enhanced at that.
Nintendo handhelds live on ports, but the difference is they live on ports of classics.
Sony did port a classic in Persona 4 golden and is looking to do the same again with FFX which is good. But i strongly feel this needs to be consistent.
But in the spirit of this article, i will list my top 10 ports for the Vita.

Sega please bring Skies of Arcadia to the vita.
What they need to do is split each of their 12 studios into 2 like they have done with naughty dog. This way one end focuses on Home console development exclusively and the other focuses on Vita development exclusively.
This way you have a steady flow of releases on both Platforms and Sony wont have to worry much about 3rd party support. I dont know its what i would do in their place.
Those are some nice predictions of which i hope come to fruition.

Sony really needs to consider this;though i get the feeling they are saving and waiting to acquire either quantic dreams or insomniac once and for all.
I do hope they acquire these guys and this ip, this will add to the growing list of exclusive ips.

I get that the ram is faster, but why just go with 4gb GDDR5? Why not go with 6gb and dump 1gb to the o.s. 512mb just doesn't do it anymore and i strongly feel the next system is going to need atleast 1 or 2 gigs in the o.s for future proofing.

This is good news, but i also feel its something that what was expected of them. I mean imagine a Nintendo platform without a mario kart or a Zelda game, that wouldn't be normal. However judging by your level of excitement it gives me the impression you feel these games will come out tomorrow. techmo and sega seem to be the biggest vita supporters outside of Sony themselves. But this year will be slightly different; i expect something new from atlus, xseed and many more. The Ys series is set to make its vita debut sometime this year in the same fashion persona4 and ffx have and will.
Vita is set to get a handful of rpgs this year.
Bend studio is also working on a new game and i am sure Sony will look forward to porting some of their biggest psn tit...

yawn...well sales isnt everything, i mean you said it takes 6 sony exclusives to do what 2? ms exclusives do? the way i see it gt5 alone has over 10 million in sales and thats just one of 6 games.

And i must admit i thought of this before posting my previous comment, but i simply felt MS was already doing what you stated and still charging on top of that. I mean it sounds like greed and maybe it is, but Sony from where i stand has not released concrete numbers in the case of psn+ and as for HOMe, i seriously have my doubts on that service i feel thats been in the decline since phil harr...
If true finally...Hopefully they can get squarenix to release ffx shortly after; that would be killer when added to soulsacrifice,killzone mercenary,warriors lair and bend studios new ip.
All the vita would then need is an official price drop and include a memory card in every box even if its just a 4gb card at that.
Now all they need to do is cut back on TV production and invest in the PSN to streamline it well. And begin charging at the beginning of next gen a 40 dollar fee on the basic(currently free) model a year while keeping plus at 50 with its perks intact.
I know many on here will disagree, but i strongly feel this will help them become a more profitable company. Also this will help them build a much better service and in return invest in more exclusive content.

I dont WANT Sony to start charging for psn. I simply suggested if they need to do it, then thats not out of the realm of possibility.
If your close competitor is making a killing of their network, why couldnt Sony? i mean thats money they need and could use.
They dont have to charge what ms charges for their service, they could under price them at 40 or even 35 a year, any income is good, specially for a company that is likely to invest that money back to its...
Honestly what i want is a pairity in specs; i want more ram on the ps4.
MS has huge plans centering their O.S, Sony needs to prepare its platform for anything its close competitor decides to dish out.
I say this because to this day the ps3 cant xchat even though it could do everything else. Sony needs to avoid another scenario like this; so more is key.
i dont know you guys; but the last dev who said wanted its game to run at 60fps was the mortal kombat guys and we all know how that turned out.
MK ran smooth as it should, but the visuals were compromise badly, i should know i own the game.
I just hope they are able to pull it off somehow, i dont want the same thing that happen to mk to happen to this game.
never said anything about the wii losing in other markets, though despite the fact that they still lead in those markets you mentioned; they are in the decline.
However, at this point in time i dont think it matters as much anymore. The wiiu is out and doing fine, and new xbox and PlayStation will soon be here as well.
