Just reading that got me excited. I'm really looking forward to this game.

That would be my guess. Probably going to head up Rare but he's not leaving Lionhead. Milo could define his career.

Do you think Cliffy B really made Gears of War?! Kenichiro Imaizumi is Konami's Rod Ferguson. The real creative force behind Konami and a number of it's franchises including Metal Gear Solid. Kojima didn't make those Metal Gear Solid games himself. It was a creative process that included a host of talented individuals. Chief of whom will be the director of Metal Gear Solid Rising. And no one wants it to be or feel like Metal Gear Solid 4 with its self-indulgences. It's an all new story, all n...

He and these rabid fanboys much like himself are doing a disservice to the talented team who worked on Metal Gear Solid 4. He acts like he made the game himself with little input, design, ideas and engineering from anyone else. Like his involvement makes or breaks the game's success. How arrogant. How much of a diva can you be?

Kenichiro Imaizumi who is directing the game has worked as a design and story director on Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. He's an exceptional game designer with the team that worked on Metal Gear Solid 4 behind him. Do you really think 150 plus man team that toiled 4 and a half years on Metal Gear Solid 4 is goin...

But I think PS3 fanboys may be the worst. You know, these comments are a true discredit to the talented team that worked on Metal Gear Solid 4. If anything, I'm happy Kojima wont direct this outing. If anyone needed an editor it was him. Metal Gear Solid 4 was terribly self-indulgent.

This push towards MMOs on consoles will backfire. There are already too many of them in development with publishers trying to recreate the success of World of Warcraft on consoles. And it's funny all of a sudden seeing PS3 fanboys using the term "console exclusive" when they previously argued to the death that there was no such thing; a game is exclusive or it isn't. The power of convenience right?

I was surprised by the impressive showings of Conviction and Alan Wake. The long development of both with little to show over the years had me less the optimistic but I'm looking forward to both.

When Left 4 Dead sold almost 2 million copies in 6 weeks on the XBox 360, you knew this was coming. I expected the sequel. Valve had stated the the team chose their next project and went to work only days after Left 4 Dead was completed on a sequel. I don't mind the sequel. The content seems justified. New settings, weapons, characters, more story driven, new enemies and new competitive multiplayer modes. The content is much more than DLC. With Valve's engine, which is a bit dated, they can h...

I was certain Heavy Rain would be demoed on stage at E3. It had been rumored the game has slipped to a mid to late 2010 release but I still expected to see the game given some stage time. I expect more release dates. A release date for Uncharted 2 would have been nice but I still expect the game in the fall. Had hoped Grand Tourismo would have been demoed indicating the game was near completion. I was surprised Insomniac did not have a presence at the show showing Ratchet and Clank Future: Cr...

When the game was announced PS3 fanboys denounced the game claiming, Kojima would not be involved and that it wasn't a direct sequel. It was pathetic. Now, all of a sudden, everyone is excited for the next Metal Gear Solid game. Fanboys give all PS3 owners a bad name. We always seem to come off as petty.

I think the only people who care that this game is or isn't exclusive are PS3 owners who are Kojima elitists. The game is being made by Kojima Productions using MGS4's engine, an engine that was said would not/could not run on the XBox 360. Kojima may downplay his involvement but if you know anything about the man, you know it's being made by his studio that bears his name and he will be involved heavily creatively to ensure its quality. The game will be released simultaneously on the XBox 36...

If the game has been in development that long they would have had something to show for the announcement which was pretty "meh". Even Crackdown 2 had a trailer and Ruffian games was only started 5 months ago.

I thought I was the only one who noticed this. Microsoft announced Halo ODST for September, Forza 3 for October and Splinter Cell Conviction and Left 4 Dead 2 for November. Sony had no release timetable other than confirming that anticipated titles will be coming next year.

Trust me, EA would have gotten a bigger buzz had they announced the game was multiplatform. Their conference was mediocre at best.

Didn't EA also publish and distribute Left 4 Dead on the Xbox 360?

Everyone talk about Kojima's long standing relationship with Sony but noone ever mentions BioWare's long standing relationship with Microsoft. Sames a Valves. Last I check, both developer's games were distributed and published by EA. Mass Effect 2 was announced exclusive to the Xbox 360 and PC as recent as yesterday. The reason it wasn't at Microsoft's show is because frankly, EA would have had a pretty thin show without it. It was already thin with Mass Effect 2 shown.
