How often do you encounter a Wii fanboy? Not very often, which makes them more amusing when you do than annoying. All fanboys are annoying but the abundance of PS3 fanboys make them the more annoying group. There is absolutely nothing endearing about them. I own a PS3 and I can stand them. They're self righteous, complainers.
I think all fanboys are irrational and infantile. That said, PS3 fanboys seem to be more rabid and outnumber most others on most gaming forums. Their annoyance comes from a strength in numbers.
The two devices aren't really direct competitors. I don't see the Iphone having the capacity to output core games like the PSP Go. That said, Sony are going to have a hard time selling the PSP Go at $250.
Seems like a squad based iteration of Halo similiar Halo ODST only with Spartans. We'll surely see more details forthcoming as the hype for another Halo title builds, an may God help us all.
Ah yes . . . another Microsoft won article to incite the PS3 fanboy masses on N4G.com. Can't wait for the impending firestorm
*Edit* I see the firestorm has already started.
$250 for a handheld is just ridiculous especially when it cost less to produce than the current PSP and digital distribution negates the cost of UMD packaging and distribution. Sony really needs to address their ultra-aggressive pricing strategy.
I like how fanboys have no common sense. Next to Mario, Sonic and Halo, Grand Theft Auto is the biggest IP in video gaming. I doubt Sony intended to trade its exclusivity for an untested IP. That would be a stupid idea. Microsoft didn't spend 50 million for 2 episodes of DLC. They paid 50 million dollars to keep 7 million gamers for having the biggest reason to buy a PS3 and give it's console real credibility. In the process, they made 42 million dollars in royalties alone, and we haven't eve...
While it's debateable who had the better E3, and whose was enjoyed the most is total subjective, the consensus among the gaming press is that Microsoft had the better showing.
Microsoft has been steadily recruiting talent to it's internal studios. I wonder what they're working on. Shane Kim has said they wanted to follow Capcom's model of developing and publishing first party titles internally.
The game looks amazing. The car customizations and video editor may be the biggest selling points of this game.
Seriously, coming out of E3, the biggest surprise may have been that the reports of the XBox 360's hardware limitations may be a bit premature. The console seems to have a lot of headroom left. I was really impressed by Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction and even the multiplatform titles Modern Warfare 2 and Final Fantasy XIII running on the hardware.
I was wondering the same thing. From preview, Dragon Age had a very poor showing and Final Fantasy XIII was playable on the show's floor. Very few RPGs were.
Just of bought Fifa 09 last October. Not buying another Fifa game. If PES makes a return to form in 2010, I'll buy that. Fifa 09 really wasn't the jump it was claimed to be. It was just better than the competition.
If Sony bundles this with a sexy red PS3, I'll drop my PS3 out a 4th floor window just so my wife would let me buy another one. :D
Like me, and I just bought a new PSP too. :(( The blue one. If they let me return my current UMDs for a code for a free download that would be great. Not everyone with a PSP pirated games or ran emulators.
I gave you a bubble myself. Rarely do you ever see someone with such a polished response to make their point.
I agree wholeheartedly. Great point, well written. I still think the emphasis placed on the series' "epic" story is ill placed and many don't even get the subtleties and real-world implications of the series' story.
Convolution and self indulgence doesn't equal depth. I'm a huge fan of the Metal Gear Solid series and I always thought the game's story was over the top and tongue-in-cheek, so was it's gameplay, which is the real charm and nuance of the series. It doesn't take itself too seriously, but apparently, these fanboys certainly do.
Yippee, another Microsoft wins E3 article. Just what N4G.com needs. And who the hell is noddlegamer anyway? :?
